Sorry to hear you're still poorly Ron, please get well soon. Hi Cathyml, sorry its been so long since I got to visit. Yes we're still freezing down here near the sea. Its crazy actually that its still cold this far into August. We had a lot rain last weekend and the temperatures have been between 4 and 18. Today was better at 20. Went to lunch in Howick (about 25 Km inland from here for the benifit of those who don't know SA) on Sunday and had to sit right next to a big log fire to thaw out. Darn, if global warming doesn't stop soon we will freeze to death! Bye for now. Edited by: Syd Harling at:18th August 2011 17:12 |

This diet I am on thats "new" has me walking 20 minutes every morning....thought it would be an "piece of cake" until today....and my ankle is slightly swollen. So I'm heading in early tonight to get up early and finish off the last pressure cooker canner of Chili before the weather turns warmer this weekend. I still have blackberries to pick and do up...and this weekend is my brother's birthday...he's already came by an picked up two jars of Chili and an bowl of it for lunch....smiliing. Plus I gave his wifey some of my herbs to work with also, in salad and chives for the top of baked potatoes....some mint for making an lemon mint refresher with ice for the hot day coming up. Some Purple Basil to dry...seh has an Purple and green kitchen... and some colored Naturium blossoms that are eatable to make into fritters...for an light "crunch". Other then that it's this diet of 5 small meals an day....I feel like I barely get done making one mini-meal and have to eat something again. My mind is foggy so you'll have to pardon me an bit for now and will get back to you when things calm down an bit. Have an good weekend everyone...Here...your huggies....((((((hugs))))))....later! |
