Probably waste it..the weekend...I'm getting in one of thsoe moods to do so. |

I had an neighbor one time that never passed up giving us an plate of brownies that she made when making them for her boys. She would say...there's only the two of you.... and your both always working. She was my son's first babysitter. I was in need of diapers one day and she said...let me take care of him... and you run to the store an get them Shirley...you know I've got expereince with boys...so I let her. I always though she'd make th emost wonderful mother in-law. She was all enthrailed with him. So were the ladies in the Elks Lodge. Hubby had taken him there one day, and I was going to meet him there and I could hear him crying, so I went an picked him up, he stopped crying instantly...all the ladies were smiling....and one of them said....true "mother" she can find her infant by his sound amoung the crowd. I'd say she passed the test ladies. He was my gift from God you know.. still firmly beleive he watches over him. I think maybe an attonment from losing an infant child in an previous life perhaps. I better get going, I keep passing the button store for some reason...and I need the bottons..I looked in another store and they didnt' have gray ones the right color. |

Monday is Columbus Day, commemorating the day in 1492 when Christopher Columbus "discovered" America. That date is regarded by historians as the date of the first Europeans arriving in the the New World, although anybody knows that the Vikings probably landed in Canada in the 10th century, and St. Brendan and his little band of Irish monks probably stopped by here in the 6th century. :-) The Indian tribes of the Americas would view it as the beginning of the Eurpoean invasion. I'm just going to kick back and relax, do a little cleaning and reading. Last Sunday I was in my pool and the water was 80°, but after the cool week we've had and the rain, it's now under 70°. Brrr. This time of year, it doesn't get warm enough during the day to heat it up again, so I guess the pool's done for this year.
