when doing carrots and turnip i always put a half onion in with them and chop to-gether ---very tasty

Every meal preparation should begin by chopping an onion (IMHO).

Try a dash of honey and a drop of pure orange juice, it glazes them and they are to delicious

And when doing 'roasties'   par boil the potatoes drizzle melted butter over them, sprinkle a little sea salt and finely chopped fresh rosemary or dried if not fresh and roast as normal, mmmm

Mmm, sounds great.  When we roast pototoes, we typically just bake them unpeeled and serve with butter and sour cream, or broccoli and cheese.  I think you call them jackets over there.

They're great wrapped in foil and cooked in a campfire too.
