Hi everyone!  Still busy with supper, so will be backwards and forewards for a while, thought I better drop in quickly and check what you are all up to!  Just the usual mischief I see, lol.

James the packing is slowly happening (very, very slowly!!).  But I reckon if I have a month to move most of it (other than the heavy furniture)  I don't need to rush!  I can always throw it into the back of the car and sort it later!  haha.

Hope you are all having a great weekend and that the weather is being kind to you!

No, the weather turned on us overnight...I decieded I didn't want to go to the coast and stand in the rain for an $18 dinner, besides it might of been something made me happy...the dinner...so we went to the locale restruant for breakfasst instead. I thought of "dad" and had an "yucky" to em breakfast, it was an country fried breakfast...gravy over an coutnry fried steak, Yuck anyway...but authorites made them conviscate all the cantalopue ( for an food poision in them_, so they weren't serving fresh frui, so it was either "Yuck" or eggs and I can't have to many of them these dayst.. Just went to an estate sale not to far away...usually they "get to me" when it's personal items being sold, but not this time, losts of junk amid nursing home equiptment mostly....still junk to me. Anyway, it looked pretty cleared out for the most part. I can always tell by what's for sale how the people lived, this was looked pretty "confined to the house daily". My husband as ussual...left when I could of used his advice on the only thing I thought worth buying...but he did it to me again this morning....brought up that he hadn't saved money for another expense in taxes coming up due. I can't take much more of this stupidity on his part.  We should be soon out our house also.. with his dumb idiotic way of handling money. He loses his money never buying an thing. Never improving anything. Just dumb....I can't think of any other way to describe what's going on over here.  I know now for sure there will be no "Christmas" in this house...Blah!  I thought I'd never see that day..but it's here. When my house goes, unless I go to something better, and I don' t mean "heaven" either...he's got an curse on him as far as I'm concerned. I can do that...it's the "Irish" in me.LOL. I heard the other night there were five countries that are barely hanging on, Greece, Ireland, someplace in Africa, and two other places. Small nations....they said that others in the world are going ot have to accept they can't pay thier debts...point blank..... I wonder if that makes them "bankers"?...LOL.  So drink up James and here's hoping you don't have direaha in the process. James can do one end and Ron can do the other .....and Vincent can call emergency. Sign of the times you know...it's called the "end" times.  Maybe you should be the three to get-together and put that pub in at Sandy, Oregon...it says free land for an Pub Brewery there. I mean, you know...support your local "police" time....heh???  They just built an new jail to accomodate the drunks..on the other end of town. You could always putin an Voodoodonut shop with "Hallucination" drinks...and let people pay for empty glasses....the wrold has gotten around to where I think they'd honesty pay for that nothing in the glass. Maybe that's how you could package up the Voodoo donuts...in "hallucination" glasses. I go for now. to late in the day to do anything and to early to retire for the day also. Been looking at generators all morning long. I may need it to go out and sit in my tipi in the middle of no where here soon. Catch you later on.

Something happened last night...can't quite explain it, but it might of been for the good of everyone. Woke to rain, it's raining now, but we had to have this in an way, it has put out most the forrest fires that have been burning for the last 3 weeks, and it now leaves it open for gathering firewood possibly... we still need cooler but somewhat decent weather to finsish off our gardens. I'll be out there today, planting my fall green crops ane hope they can be brought in later on.

6.8 quake in Inida this morning...on the news, 42 miles from an village or small town. You can bet they felt it.

Obama goes into an meeting tomarrow, to discuss raising taxes on the wealthy in such an way they must pay paxes equal to the middle income class at least. Hope it goes through, because I don't think without something like this, this country can be saved right now. It is sounding more "fair" to me over-all.

My one mission is fairly accomplished...in that I've go tmy freezers filled...somewhat, my goal is by the end of November to make it through winter without having to spend much money for food, just enough to get the basic's pretty much and sale items. After New Year's Eve, I'd like to only have pretty much one freezer with meat in it. Keep down the cost of electricity and not lose my food if we lose power over winter. That is what we are looking into generators for, one that can run the small freezer, one lamp, and maybe an small tv set or the computer. I'd have the woodstove to heat with for warmth, and the Propane BBQ to cook with. Hubby goes in Monday also to check on his social security changes coming up.. as he semi-retires in January...what his retirement will start out is having the entire summer off...and working part time weekly...winter to Spring. This is basically during Shipping season...tha'ts what he does, company inventory, and in slow times watches the office for them....that works out good for him, as he knows many people in the business of the nursery trade in general. He's been in it since 1962, take couple years off for VietNam...so that's maybe some 49 years or so. In the summer he has summer camp with the Scouts every year anyway. Our biggest problem is getting our debts paid off and keeping things updated aroudn the house here. Plus our health. We had plans on how to do this one time already before his last boss more or lessfolded up, an dhis divorce then kind was the end of things for him...he never really survivied it...but he's long retired now also. John, his new boss is pretty good about not over doing anything overlyrambuncious that could get him into much trouble...his nursery  set-up is bigger also. He is running it mostly on semi- retired people also, people with an lot of past expereince. He has some regulars but they are mostly out in the field/warehouses...not in the office.

I must go for now. We will see how things go...I woke up this morning feeling like there was an "clearing" last night of something. Even Texas is saying they got some much needed rain yesterday. Havean good day everyone!  (P. S. New Jersey put out the call for help in getting food  relief from the Hurricane last month...wonder how Krissy is doing.)

Well, Ron, what can I say...I need an vacation!!!.... retirement scares me "Ron"...I don't know what to expect...everytime I think I have the answers.... someone changes things...economy is not the greatest either. I as yet have not gotten my check in the mail this month either...I hope tomarrow. One reason we didnt' really go anywherethis weekend to make sure we'd be here if it arrived.

BUT.....there's POE....my only escape for now....

I just went through Canterbury...Kent...this is where my mother's family is known to been, th eNew England bunch has been there to make sure the records are "true" to form to what we have..and they were.. the pictures of  "east riding" were nice to see also. Without the  pictures here in POE.. and Bernard Cornwell's books,.... I realize I probably wouldn't have as nice an trip through history. I was looking through " Marston Moor" the other day...which is how I got to Canterbury..I ran across an reference to Thomas De Losse...and wonder if he was our Rev. Thomas Lawson...more noted in our history with his association to Endinburg though. I would say he was an "Templar Knight" in his day. What I did find on him was he was there when the church was being built. Yes, do not the arches speak an bit of the influence of "Templar Knight" built structures?...I think so. On my way through...I found reference to an Beldseat Castle, Warwickshire, England. The lineage I have on this is Simon De Montfort...whose spouse was said to been Eleanor Plantagent..I am not completely convince of it's authencity as yet. but this legacy has 23 Lawson's in it, and four of my mother's Larkin surname. This Larkin named married the "Pierpoint" family over here. It's an bit at an time.......I would guess because I can't find this Castle that is Warwick Castle maybe now? This goes back so far...way to the thier beginnings. Even to Bernard Cornwell's past of "Uhtred", which he couldn't find an exact lineage, but his next best thing was to write about what was going on back then and make him the hero of his book. Clever. I did an bit over here on David Lawson, whose mother was said an Montgomery also connected to the Montfort's.  I found them in Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania beginnings. David was an "spy" for our Government on the Indians...I can't remember if during the French and Indian War for the British, or during the Rev. War for Washington...we also have several David Lawson's also....but the Lawson Letters, International has his mother as "Miss Montgomery"....of Pennsylvania.

I just finished an big dinner..one of my favorites...and I'm told by others I make it well...Meat Loaf...mashed potatoes, and green beans out of my garden this year...salad and strawberry cheesecake and I feel it now...but it's been an long time for such an big dinner and we had it  by ourselves for an change, and my son sounded like he was enjoying hs "family" time today also with his kids. Think I'll call it an evening now....talk later on.. You have an good one also...I'm thinking about doing the "painting" I said I was going to be gone for an couple of days....an  couple of months ago. Kind of closing in weather wise on me now. I like to get this stuff done before the Holidays arrive. Guys did the majority of it for me earlier...just an few areas left.
