Just got back from the hospital and good news for me also. Basically they reckon my vocal chords are pretty well stuck together with mucus, probably after the whooping cough problem. The blood that I was coughing up was as a result of hard coughing, and all looks fine now. Their words....nothing nasty lurking there.

I have to have speech therapy, and drink lots of water (I asked if I could slip a whiskey or two into it) and the answer is yes, but don't go over the top! Ha, as if I ever would?

But hey, that's really good news for me because it was beginning to get to me a bit. Much better now that we know the reason for the problem, and it can be cured quite easily.

Good man, I got a few things to do but will certainly have a dram poured for the appointed hour, even if I'm not on here.

Good evening to one and all and a special greeting to say how pleased I and I am sure the rest of the POE people are to hear that Mr. Ron (to quote Shaun) has been given good news. Just concentrate on feeling better now Ron knowing nothing nasty lurking, consider a glass raised.

I can't drink, but being an past hostess cashier type...I can sure find you one mighty fine gal to do  the pouring for you fellas...wonderful news Ron, you give the rest of us hopes in recouperating also. I have an neice on hubby's side that goes in periodically to have her vocal cords stretched at the Hospital in Seattle...I found out recently that they did their first successful esophagas replacement on someone and it worked...Dr. Christopher Wilde reported this again, it's the new tissue culture thing going on. they have taken to all kinds of operations and the patients are growing back normal and healthy replacement tissue/organs/and in some cases nerve endings. I'ts about time.

I am still waiting for my monthly check to come in...next three months are ear marked for taxes. They have to be paid. Property taxes and taxes on drawing my social security this year. Fro what littel I make in income, you'd think they'd over look it. Work on those that have it to pay easier then I do. So..I wait. Maybe I could justkind of have an snort also and call it quits..naw...that's not the way life is suppose to be. I changed my house around twice now since yesterday...so think I'll go and see what I can get into today. Party on guys!....Good news to Ron...finally....much welcomed. We could all use an year of it...one good thing behind another going on.
