OK, Wine...Grouse....and an Dram... if I know what that means...but Cathyml may be right...."Boozers!" AH..HA! I just finsished watching X-Factor....when they sing, some of them sound like they couldn't "be" improved tonight....and yet....we had some that near spoiled the show.. one .with taking down his pants and prouncing around on stage naked I guess...they must of wiped it out in advance of showing it tonight. I wondered if this was planned because the show was getting entertainment "savy" in it's own right before that happened. Anyway...glad the new season started. The check came today...and is in the bank for the taxes...I guess they did change the delivery date on it. It will take the next two of them also for the taxes and then the taxes some more..on the checks. See I worked 20 some years to pay taxes. Doesn't make me to happy....but I can imagine how you guys must feel at times with family's also. Something I told myself an long time ago,..I would never do...unless it was an absolute necessity....pick up my hubby's paycheck before he got to hold it in his hands...from earning it. He said, you know you could do this by electronic payment...and I said "No"...I earned it, to pick it up makes me think all those years I paid into this was worth something....even if they take it from me...then give ti back to me,..to take it from me an second time...Ironic as that sounds. Here's you something to go with your drinks fellas...and it's right in style for Holloween..so get to practicing in making them..... Crunchy Batwings.....2 cups bowtie pasta, uncooked...1/3 cup yellow corn meal.....3 Tablespoons Cajun Seasoning....oil for deep frying. Cook the pasta, drain well and blot pasta dry with paper towels or napkins....Combine the corn meal and the cajun seasoning...toss pasta, an handful at a time in the mixture to coat and shake off any excess. Pour oil to an depth of 2 inches in an dutch oven and heat to 375 degrees. Fry the pasta, in batches, 3 to 4 minutes or until golden....drain on paper towels...will store up to an week in an air-tight container..makes 6 cups. (An fun substitute for potato chips) Every man's house is his castle,... with these you don't mind "bats in the belfry"..... on Trick or Treat night....with perhaps an security guard!!!......(Knock Knock!....Whose there?...Wanda Witch...Wanda witch who? Wanda witch you an Happy Holloween this year!)...catch you all later on. |

Personally the idea of ruining good, or even bad whiskey (is there such a thing?) like that has made me feel really ill. LOL I reckon you're just trying to put us off the golden nectar Shirley! |

Certainly after a couple decent glasses we probably wouldn't care anyway would boys!!!! Might just join you later James, how about you Ron??? |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 01:02 on 23rd September 2011 .Hate to change the subject...BUT....I could use some help from the Irish right now...I just spent an hour in Stonehedge and Sedonna, (USA)...with dowsers and science....they mentioned an book, in an green with white lettering...it was simply callled "Celtic Mystery's"...but I couldn't make out the author of it...anyone know?....been all over the net trying to track it down to no avail so far. OK, they proved on this history channel show that in-between the huge stones at Stonehedge...the dowsing rod points off into the landscape as they walk past the stones...the landscape in which they showed in several photographs had pictures of UFO's in them...and they cited several rules of the road to the areas...(1) near an sacred object (2) pictures taken of UFO's in the area (3) adnormal frequencies in the area (4) always near by the military (5) Usually visited by people doing various rituals.....Same was true of Sedonna also. This series was called in the "Ancient Aleins" series on the History Channel "vortex's"...much of it was discussing electrical discharges that accompanied the area also. I go for now and talk later on.. as dnner dinner time has now arrived....Let me know if any of you are aware of this book..OK!.......Thanks! |
