Hi everyone!  Hope you are all well and having a great Friday!

Been at the salt mine today, more scrubbing and cleaning, one more day and it should all be done.  Then I'll have to start on the carpets - getting a carpet shampooer thing and hope it will make them respectable at least (this is all at the new house - while the current house is covered in dust, lol)

Gee, you need some of my water tablets Cathy...salt mine an all.....smiles*....I knew an gal use to spread salt all over her carpeting...I think she said it was for fleas and varmits....suggestion Heloise has i in her book. Now we just buy an flea canned air bomber for doing it...... and wash everythng afterwards.

Can you beleive I bought the thread yesterday and forgot about the buttons.... I did....back to the store.

James.... Shirley is always up to something... But I do take out time for my "Dancing with the Stars" and "X-factor" so far. There's an LOT of talent out there that needs revealed to the world. Some pretty amazing kids. Talking to Leslie also, she's taking her "Yaris" automobile and putting in an ham radio connection to her ham radio shack at home and she's giving up her cell phone. She's also going to give up her satalittte dish also as she says they simply don' t have the time to watch much TV...and figures that she can rent movies and see thier local channels instead. She's realy determined to get it where there's no outsiders she HAS to pay money to every month. She's growing her greens this winter in her greenhouse also...and started cleaning up her basement to move down there this winter also...extra added warmth/room. Said at one time she was thinking of putting up an tunnel from her house to the main road out front so she didn't have to plow her driveway all winter long also. People can park at the tunnel and walk in f they come to visit also. She's 7,000 feet up in the mountains over Denver. Said she just added some more liscense requirements under her belt for her Ham radio operation...which is run on Solar energy. I don' tfeel like I do as much as I could be doing when I listen to what she's been doing.

I am watching an blue jay out my window ..he's taking an bath in an little pool of water on the front of our boat...if only he knew the rain coming next week!  Must be cold water...he's kind of skipping through it back an forth but not immersing himself in it as yet....oh now he is...better go for the heated bath towel..heh?...while I best get going for today....I started up the winter bird food trays yesterday...lunch on me I guess....Have an good weekend everyone.

I don' think I live that fast an paced life myself.....why you should of seen me stuck today at Marshall's clothing store, when the cash register they were trying to print my check on just stopped...dead in it's tracks....it took at least three clerks working on it...and then they re-rung the entire transaction in another machine...apologizing the entire time....asuring me that the other transaction never went through. Hummm....

So James would like to live next door to me...Ha!...would he be surprised...Mrs. Riley next door looks and reminds you of Dolly Parton kind of...except...she has her own Private hair dressing salon...now Marjorie might like that one. She does an pretty good job of it also,..been in the business for years. She redid her front bedroom...has it's own outside enterance and big enough for two people at an time...cozy, but very professional looking.

My hubby as I said earlier was going to take my grandson on an Scout outting this weekend, when he didn't go to school today cause he didn't feel well, they postponed the outting. So I'm saying "What Lake was that?..I've never heard of it before. So I find myself up tonight looking up "Cast Lake" at Mt.  Hood near Rhodenron (small town).... you take LOLO PASS Road and it's an half mile hike through woods, wildflowers, with spectacular views of three mountains...Adams, Hood, and one other one...maybe Jefferson...the Lake is 7 acres big and 17 feet deep...trout fishing lake. So been reading the reviews on it..all kinds of web sites..only one shows an area shot of the Lake from above. This is the thing about the "Scouts" you never know what your going to find at times. It sounds like an good hike for the little guys...the last .31 feet of the trail is downhill of that 1/2 mile...most of it sounds level hiking.. It has your usuall primitive forrest campsites. I can smell the morning coffee and the hash browns/bacon/ and eggs cooking now...by the crackling fire. It could not be an better time...as it's suppose to be raining by Sunday night...and they should break camp at noon. I would guess plenty of parents going with them also.  I like my guys here though also...maybe we can do something...go someplace.

The Holloween store openeed up today...they moved down the street and inot an bigger store...they reserved the center of the store for thier lifesized ghouls that are animated.. I got my grandson out of bed and made he go with me to see it...all kinds of "step here" for the animated part...he did them all.  We watched life sized covered mummies in coffins raise straight up and look at us...one goul raised his knife above his head an swished it through the air...there were talking literary stautes, and an host of wolfman howlings going on...I think he liked it...hope he's not having night mares. Teach him not to be to sickly....after looking over the costumes.... then we went to K-mart and we got him an Pokamon toy...I found out last month I had $10 earned on my store points. Came back home, loaded up his left over pepperoni pizza for lunch and breadsticks and took him home to his mom an dad and sister an brother....and dogs....he looked an little better then earlier in the day. He slept most the morning.

I did some more shopping but that was pretty much my day...been getting caught up on the computer talk tonight, but about ready to go to bed somewhat. I rest and take little naps kind of througout the day and night you know. I had this guy that was an friend of my son's..he was an bit psychic also...he said to me one time...Shirley..how do you do this...your mind has been wake and "going" for four days now rather you've been alseep or awake. I told him I thought there was something in the bible about in " heaven" your never tired..and I thought I might still have an bit of me on the "other side".. ( Near death expereince)....when I want to call it into action...it raises my energy levels..... I go for now...winks*
