You eat normal meals, and they are filling so no picking before you go to bed. It's really not like being on a diet... |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 23:41 on 28th December 2011 I like weight watchers...I lost 90 pounds before with them...but my last attempt wasn't to good...they sat down with me then to help me..I guess because of my heart problem/medications...I have very little mentabolism going on in my body...for the first time ever I gained weight. But I found out this is not an unusal problem any more over here...where we are so diet this an that all the time. We sat down and made out one big meal...that fit within the diet. then I divided it up into three or four smaller meals. But over all I had less calories. I had desert for breakfast(such as yogurt)...salad and roll for lunch....meat and veggie for dinner...and one small fresh fruit before bed...if I didn't switch breakfast and snack around. She told me that as we get older that sometimes we can't eat the calories we use to eat. Then I ran out of the money to go to the classes. I guess they waived the intial start up fee's again right now also. We are still getting into the Social Security retirement budgetting as we start in with that this year...whereby there may be no problem in the days ahead to not have enough to eat...let alone an diet...but stick with it Ron...your correct of all the diets... its the easiest to use in my estimation. I understand the more you lose weight... the more the mentabolism kicks in and works better also. That is what the curves diet does..they train you to kick it in again...to self-start it. If I get anywhere and this Social Security gives me the money...you never know...I might rejoin weight watcher's again. There are things that I left that class doing then that I've never went back to the old way of doing things. Things my heart doctor has me doing also that I've changed...and boy, did they ever get me off the soda pop and then some...and that was "diet" at that. I drink an lot of bottled water over anything else...lucky if I drink an cup of coffee an day also...do drink herbal teas though... I eat more foods with "liquids" in them...such as homemade soups...so I can leave out the salt...use "Dash" instead. I am acccepting that its an way to live over an "diet" also these days. I don't fret about the "cheats" and know I have to over come them now and then...afterwards...as long as they don't become an habit. Best thing...don't have the bad stuff in your house. If you don't buy it...then you can't imbibe in it. Eat more veggies that have an higher water content in them also. Celery..lettaces, etc. Did you know that if you take off the outter peel of an raw potatoe...the next 1/4 inch of it has some of the strongest anti-biotics you can eat to fight infections and colds...so you take that part...and you juice it...and add some carrot or apple juice with it...just a wee bit to help flavor it...and drink it..along with wee bit of water also..so you have an lightly flavored drink. It's an great " pick up" in the winter-time. |

He has never had an weight problem....even with the big meals I make him...as I worry about him getting to thin. He is very conscious of keeping his weight in tack these days. I wish I had his "stick to it " power some days. |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 20:25 on 29th December 2011 Hi Cathyml..same here...tonight heavy rain and snow level down to 1,000 feet....will hit the coast line first though. Hi there James.... People have gone bonkers here recently...they caught two guys running out the door of Home Depoe with carts filled to the brim..well, they caught them, arrested them..which lead to finding what more they had stolen..to the tune of $454,000...including an 24 foot RV. It solved 7 local burglaries on the west side of Portland. I was listening to coast last night....ended up disgruntled. First came on the astologer....full of ventom for next year....and says that it won't be until 2020 before we are out of the current mess an people have figured out what's important to life in general and the truth once again. But she said, they will try to restructure the European Union and won't suceed doing it....big earthquakes this year all over the world..she's particualry worried about San Francisco to northern California....we will be getting off of fossil fuels in the near future...thanks to some lasers they invented in England that will beable to power the world...she gave the name of the company but I don't remember it. She said the technology is out there to see to it that every house around maintains an evern 57 degrees temperature without heat or air conditioning...and they will work on doing that as we are wasting much of our natural resources, in order to sustain ulility company profits....and water will become an issue of the future also...fresh drinking water...from ice melting at the pole and less in ground water reserves...and the pollution by others also. Then the next guy on was talking about mushrooms...and I fell asleep on that one...but I remember being disgruntled as I did and not at all agreeing with him. We need the world to understand that divine messages don't need any kind of hallucinatory introduction. The person is not an true physic... if that be the case. As for Jesus being on mushrooms....I doubt it...he may of known of them through achemey though....being an herbalist in general. But I don't remeber reading where he passed out any mushrooms for his "healings" or even feeding the 5,000 people with an fish and bread. An picture of Jesus riding an mushroom could of simply meant someone saw him while imbibiing on an mushroom...and chose the dream as an art rendering. As to the belladonna, I ran into that recently...seems back in ancient Greece that there was an "party" for an military group...thier enemies put an little belladonna in the wine...and they drank it..when they were into an stupor, if not already near death.. they killed them all on the spot with swords...good-bye enemy. While it's true that most "Shamans" know of herbals in general..it doesn't mean they nessesarily use them constantly...it is not conducive to kill everyone you know....gives you an bad reputation. Myself, I don' t like to mix religion with hallucinatory substances. To me it's not the real thing in receiving divine messages you can truly beleive in. But it does lead to Washington State's agenda to put marijuana posession on the ballot...bad leadership people....recongize this for what it is... and not an excuse to the "now times"....so what does her people do if they are blissed on out marijuana if Seattle has one of those large earthquakes...people spaced out don't think survival very good and God ..from an message I received some years back... is tired of the drug scene in general on earth...he is also angry over the child abuse... the the explotation going on in general for money and profit. His answer before was the NIsqually Quake....which came in on the heels of an man killed during Mardi Gras celebration up there when this man stood in the way of some guy beating the hell out of his girfriend...and the other guy killed him for interveining...the quake happened just days later. When those gals bear their naked breasts for an string of beads...they become "sluts"..and its no laughing matter in my estimation. An parade is suppose to be morally decent..in public. I wondered if Hurricane Katerina was his answer to that also...in stopping the parade once and for all....to make people regain their senses....and take an look at thier behavior. But anyway....I go now and decide if I should go shopping before this storm hits. It appears to have started raining since I came on line so I better get going for now. Short astrology lesson....Pluto is the underworld/unseen..endings...Neptune is water..emotions...Uransus...is the unexpected...these three planets spend an good deal of time this year aspecting each other...but they aren't necessarily "bad"...some things you want to "end" if they are not favorable. Netpune was the tusunmi in Indonesia in Dec. 2004. Neptune can be rain storms also, nice to have if your in an drought...but anything connected to water also. I'm still waiting for Richard Nolte's predictions for the year and "coasttocoast" airs with their annual "call in" predictions New Years' Eve show and the next night..they have an "home page" to can find out more about it there. Have an good day...times are what we chose to make them...make them worthier then what's been going on...and more humane. |

I don't know what you were watching, but I bet it was way more entertaining reading your review than watching it. I'm with you on the last quote. We can't change the world, but we can make our little part of it better by being better people. One of my goals this coming year is to be a better neighbour. Look for ways to help those around me. Spread a bit of light and laughter around my own bit of turf. |
