Wow Dave that would be awesome but maybe the 3rd good news is that the new lady's daughter works on a cruise ship and she offered for me to go with her next year when we're in England to take a cruise (FREE) from Miami to Alaska. How awesome is that?

People told me that the death of my wife signalled the end of my life as it was and that I had to make a new life from here on so from now on its fun, fun, fun. The idea of life is too skid to a halt at the finish line, all b......d and bent and yelling, "wow what a ride!" not arrive slowly and fully preserved wearing your best suit.

Thanks to all my friends on POE for the encouragement and support. Have a good day all. PS: if I do win the Euro Millions we will have a huge party for all POEsters. How about that?

That'll be the second 'big party' then Syd! lol

Well Syd, I think I would settle for that, well done. And fully agree with your idea of life.....time to start looking that way myself I think. As i maybe said once before...life is too short to take seriously..whic more or less amounts to the same thing. So get in there Syd and grab it with both hands and have a ball

Thanks Dave, I reckon that's the only way.

Next year when I am in England it might be nice to meet a few POEsters like I met Ron last time.

Absolutely you're right,Syd.Yes,it is very hard to lose our beloved ones or relatives but it never means the end of our life.If you are in life that means you are still living. So make it the most of it.

Have a good day everyone :)

Syd, think I'd take her daughter up on the cruise ship myself..I had an freind went to the resort towns down in Mexico befrore they started hyjacking people for ransom...she did it a couple of timesand really enjoyed the trip..had another friend who use to team up with her daughter and take overnight flights out of Portland to LasVegas and as long as they had $500 cash with them...and stayed at the cascino's gambling...the entire trip was for free. I asked her how she did overnight and she said that they played Keno when they wanted to rest or eat or do otherwise. It was an 24 hour flight and they were back here..3 hours each way flying...taken to the casico by cascino car/van. Food for free also. Left here about 11 pm and returned before 11 pm the next evening. Wild to say the least. She said it was an glamourous 24 hour trip for spending maybe $100 gambling...and sometimes they won an good share of that back again. You would easily pay that much or more for an decent room overnight any more in an motel/hotel. I don't know if they have this offer any more as it's been some years ago they did this.

I woke up to no electrical power here from this storm, but I guess the brunt of it is over and all systems are "go" right now. Most of the storm is headed north along the western cascades into Washington State right now...with very heavy rain....winds topping 90 MPH and this really hurts the busiess sector at the coast...many of the rivers  over there are around flood level stages right now. Tonight's news should kind of give us an better idea of what and where the damage is the most....though I think in years past they must by now be well seasoned for such weather from time to time...we use to never have it...or very seldom that kind of extremely high winds and heavy rains.  Kind of like the East Coast these days. I knew it wasn't going to be the best of weather...by all my aches and pains...and the so called "headache" for me is very low pressure readings.  With all the leaves stripped off the tree out front what is hanging on in the most unlikely spot but an huge round ball of leaves that must be some kind of an nest..either for the squirrel or an bird.  So far..still intact.

Talking about taking pictures...before the storming started, I looked up in my Oak Trees and guess what I saw...one leaf suspended in the air...just like it stopped in motion from falling...my guess was it was caught in an spider web line...if it wasn't the strangest sight to see though...this "leaf" in mid air just stopped. I kept thinking what an photo that would of made. Nature does the strangest things sometimes....and the spider webbing ws next to invisible.

I go for now...when I saw the power was out..I was ready to go back to bed..sleep in...but then I got to worrying about the house being to cold for the birds I have.. without at least an fire going on in the fireplace...but It came back on before I got the chance to build one.  I might still go back and lay down...Dancing with the Stars tonight.... and they only have two weeks left of competition. have an good day everyone.

Hi all.

Yeah Shirley I am going to do that cruise. I have never seen the US so just to see Miami and alaska will be awesome.

I had a good chat of over 2  hours with Stuart in London tonight. Skype was so clear it was as though he was here in the house with me. Very good. I think Skype is the greatest invention and without it I would have had a bigger problem coping with the lonliness these last 7 months. In fact it has been a lifeline. Praise the Lord for modern technology!

I have had spray my bedroom tonight to get rid of a squadron of mosquitoes. I would have been eaten alive if I hadn't done that.

I hope everyone had a good day and we'll see you all tomorrow.

ByeSmile
