Our hurricane cat. 3 is now gone...but there are still an few squalls hanging about...they never called it an hurricane cat 3 formerly...well, one weatherman did...I think we are all getting use to an couple of them coming through these days and we call them "Pineapple Expresses"...as they tend to go by Hawaii before headed here. We need to be lucky we have an coastal mountain range...as it holds off the worst of it here from coming inland very far. We don't have to worry to much about tidal surges either as for the most part the coastline is higher then say the gulf of Mexico area. Just an few bay areas get the brunt of water surges in these storms. Other then that I adored "Dancing with the Stars" last night...Micheal Jackson's music is trully his though..about like that with "MaDonna" or even the "The beattles" or "Elivis Presley"...and I think we love the musicbecause they each found an "God connection" through thier music in an way that makes if for the most part almost next to "perfect"...it's hard to follow them. But they did an pretty good job last night trying. I have one turkey to deliver tonight and hope to make it back in plenty of time to see tonight's elminations to the finals. Been working on gathering up what is needed to do that also. I guess I go now and talk to you tomarrow.... in-between cooking breaks maybe. Have an good day everyone! |

No the fact of the matter is that I need to find a home for all 4 dogs and luckily the tennats want to keep the Border Collie so he gets to stay in his home albeit with new humans. Their only stipulation was that I have him snipped so its worth it. |

I've been wishing charlie an good morning. Happy Thanksgiving...his Mary survived Cancer as did our Dee Dee her tumor removal in her brain. Charlie makes "angels" out of paper clips and inserts into them real gem stones...he gives them away to people he wants to have one..he gave me one with an Ruby or Garnet stone in it one year. It's such an masterpiece of work and he makes them for an rosery..he's Catholic...with an huge huge brood of kids and great grandkids I think now. You can not buy them...your an special person he thinks if you receive one of them from him. Over the years he has been kind of share a lot of things ..like he sent "Dove" some elephant garlic for free...she "lives off the land"...that kind of thing. Just an all over decent sort of person from the "old school "as they say. thsi morning finds that the storm two days ago dumped 100 inches of snow at Mt. Hood..and they have an base camp of 41 inches atTimberline Lodge and are opeing 3 ski lifts this Thanksgiving Day The businesses consider that an blessing to be able to open early in Ski Season.. Got to look on the good side of things these days..despite the storm the other day. I am up but not feeling like "getting with it" right now..having my morning coffee and looking over what's going on in the world for the time being. I see they made an new application on the cell phones in Isreal...for detection of incoming"rocket" launches near by. I hope it helps to save some lives of the innocent kids maybe. You knowmy son's pediatric doctor use to have an door graphic of little kids with different emotions...such as happiness...fear..anger..so forth and at the very bottom it said...it's not how you feel...its how you deal with how you feel..find the right solutions to life "peacefully". I guess I go for now...sissy is still sleeping she must of spent most the night on her computer...seh helped me get the last of the Turkey's delivered to my sister last night...I kept one for myself...and it's an chore every year to buy them ..as I have to buy $50 worth of groceries to get an Turkey for 39 cents an pound...but I do it..andI know they can use them over th Holidays and into winter...and I save about $8.00 per Turkey. Of course you know now I'm well stocked up in toliet paper, paper towels, canned soup, and cake mixes in the process....Laughs* So I guess that I also come out of this with an bit extra also. I'll eventually use it later on. Have an good day everyone and enjoy the week. |
