Then some rain gear over it and they have an vertual electric blanket under their coat..esp if it's an long coat. It's raiing here this morning. My Christmas decorations include "Frosty the Snowman"...at least around my table area...along with glasses etched in white trees and kind of wintry looking..edged in gold trim. Color theme this year is white snow...gold poinsetta...and frosty images...and Santa claus shaped teapot and mugs..with greenery. Touches of red and black..such as frosty's hat and scarfe..I chose Santa pictures for on the wall near the tree. I collect them as well as any pictures with the Christmas theme to them. Old victorian houses in wintertime also. Cabin in the mountains for the boy's room. I have "angels" in my bedroom. Downstairs will be an tree and an large nativity scene...my extra bed down there is in an red velvet on gold satin. The sofa I take the pillows and added fancy glitzy ribbons on so they look like "presents" instead of pillows. Rest is red posinetta dinnerware on the round table near the bed down there, next to the bar area...needs fixed. Kitchen is done in holly and evergreens and topped with nutcrackers of various sizes. Diningroom is my LeMax Christmas houses and people. They all blend from one room into another over all. White tableware. Congradualtions on your new little elephant born to the Lonon zoo this year ....and our "Rose-Tu" at the Portland Zoo is going into labor now to deliver her little bably elepahant also. I thought one of the cutest Christmas rooms I ever saw was an farmer...who took his back patio, enclosed it and covered the floor in fresh straw, northfork pines, and Scottish plaids, red ribbons, white mini-lights with an old time spinning wheel and wooden baby cradle, couple of wodden rockers also...and blankets...and then took in one of his newborn lambs (cleaned up) for feeding every night if he had little kids out there or house guests. He fed it off an bottle....let others do it also. Played soft christmas music in the background. It looked so charming to say the least. Baby Lamb was pretty tiny also...looked more like an medium size of an dog....then an adult farm animal. The rockers gave the adults someplace to read books to the youngesters also...if they couldn't feed the lamb if someone already was doing it. I suppose with that I better get back to decorating myself...have an good day everyone! |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 18:52 on 30th November 2012 Good morning everyone...well, just about done...still have half an tree upstairs and one downstairs and outside decorations to do and planning the Christmas Day dinner. Hosptial bills are coming in now. January and February I can kiss my social security checks good bye and then it's saving for property taxes...should be later this year and about time for Christmas again before I level out in all the expenses again...if I ever do. Hubby's truck went out on us also...I don't know how I'm going to replace it without monthly payments. Can't afford an new either I don't think...will have to look around some. My neighbor "Shaun" told me to by an lighter truck...but we have this boat to haul and "Scouting" as yet also. See what next year brings. I don't know about everyone else..but people on Social Security can't afford more property, or any higher taxes if it's their only incoming monthly check. Our local zoo is about to have the baby elephant..they took an ultrasound yesterday...and you could see it's tiny feet turned to come down the "birthing canal"...I hope she has an safe and " quick" delivery. This is her second baby. they said with her first she wouldn't have anything to do with it after she birthed it for quite an while...but eventually "bonded"...poor little elephant.. They artifically inseminated her to get preganant. She looked like she had tears in her eyes and this delivery can take one to three days to complete. Yesterday we had an partical lunar eclipse which probably didnt' help her much...may of induced the labor. In the mean time...coupel days ago I was ranting and raving about and school in Longview using an "isolation box"...apparently they have gotten so much riduclue over it...the publicly announced they would not use it any more....but this leads to something else...the need for the "Laws" to say prohibt incarcination against and students rights' of freedom....they said in another state....the teachers had placed an student into an like duffle bag up to his neck to restrain him also for "control". The need to pass such an law...as I think itviolates "Constituional rights" of all people in general for this kind of crap going on. I hate to say this..but we are at an time where those in "authority" can say anyone is "acting out" and needs "locked up" even if they have an legitamate reason to be angry in the first place. What about older or other kids "bullying" thier peers...or in some cases brothers (age 16) prostituting our their sisters as young as 10 years old at school...for money. Yes, that's been found out also. The sisters detest...and school's incarninate them...these little kids are getting "raped".... and they should be "act out" for themselves when something of this nature goes on. Never was there any safety for the public sector ....when things are done behind "closed doors". Many times.... before each other also. Some other good news was Senator Rod Widen's wife delivered and little baby girl...they have got to be around my age...as I knew him when I was younger at the nursing home...(I'm 64)....he was born in Isreal...had an MOther that published an "cookbook" I wish I could get an copy of...but he's always as far as I can see has been an decent person and politican..concerned in human rights. I don't know if he ran for political office this last time. People were trying to force him into retirement also. Drug cartels you know want to hand pick preferably "hispanics" but also thier good buddies to help them along also these days...so they can get legal sactions for drug dealing. Other then that..the world is about as usual for right now...and I've more work to do...only half the tree is decorated and still got lots more to do..so taking leave. Hope Cathyml shows up here pretty soon and let's us know that she doing better on her dental problems. We miss her here. You get use to people coming in and when they don't you miss thier personality. Hope all is well. As usual..have an good day everyone...who wouldn want it any other way but "good"...really. Talk later. |
