I'm movin right along as I wanted to do. Syd...they say an person has to be truly lonely to find the one meant for them. One reason the music department doesn't mind some of the break-ups amoung the "stars"... as they say it makes for better music to sing of the sorrow and the new "love". An favorite saying is...."man was never meant to be alone"...he needs the gentleness of an woman..her strength, her weakness...and her deep caring about him in good and tough times. I do think you have been "Blessed" this Holiday Season. Vince how are things going in your house for the Holidays?...OK guys..raise your hand if you got stuck with the outside lights by yourself. I went outside and helped finsish them off today. Some projects we can do "OK" together..some we can't...to headstrong in our ways now. For being married" so long...we have both had to be on our own most the time in this marriage...see each other now and then at times. So that makes us very independent...dependent. Has anyone talked to Cathyml lately...she hasn't been in like she use to be...true...busy time of the year...but she sounded like she was having difficulties perhaps. I keep thinking of her because someone "painted the town"...literally.. for Christmas and they did an VERY good job..I've not seen it looking so nice downtown as this year "ever"..she is an artist you know...teaches painting. Every business in town, if it has an window...it's been painted... and so happily and Christmasey themed also. I made hubby an nice dinner tonight, simple...we ended it with coffee and peppermint bark...which is white chocolate on top of dark and sprinkled with peppermint flakes...so its not over bearing and it sure did finsish off dinner "right" tonight. I'm having my "tea" right now. I went to the kitchen, and looked out the window while the water was microwaving and lo, behold..neighbors in the street behind us put up an 6 foot blue star on their garage. Makes you want to say..."shine on baby..shine on!" Talked to my son...he's still stuck in Idaho wating for them to tell him to head back this way. Mt Hood had 20 inches of snow this weekend up at Timberline Lodge..or above. Told him to drive careful coming back..roads as far as I know are safe unless he takes Mt. Hood Highway...miss him. Kind of old for an mother to say that I suppose but we have been though so much "baloney" in his growing up...we bonded I guess...just to survive. He's old enough though that he has his own say about things now. I guess I should get going...all this week "coasttocoastam" is going to be interesting talk radio from what I'm reading on their home site....comes on my time at 10 pm and goes to 2 am. Then re-airs again. So if I fall alseep there's an chance I'll wake up an hear what I missed. Or there's other ways to hear anythign I might of missed also. But at any rate..tea done...about done with the chatting for now...have an good evening everyone. Enjoy the Christmas music. |

However, life must go on and I know in my heart that Rose, wherever she is now and if she is watching me, will be happy for me. Suddenly life is too short but however many years I have left, I shall do my utmost to make them happy with Barbara's help and do my very best to make her happy too. I would like, at this stage, to say thanks to all the friends I have on POE for their friendship over the last months. What a wonderful website POE is and we all hope, I am sure, that Chris and Sarah can keep it going for a long, long time to come, with the enthusiastic help of Ron and others. Perhaps sometime it would be nice to have a get together of those friends who are in England and those who can get to England. I shall be there in June/July next year so think about it folks. There is a grandchild due in London next July so being there is not optional. Cheers for now. |
