Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 22:08 on 3rd December 2012 Gesh!...lost my post again..and been struggling with the cell phone today...I just charged it also. I've been out attending to the details of Christmas this year....took an baby doll that blows bubbles, says "I love you"...Wee...Isnt this fun!...Mama, and Hug me!" and an small race car outfit geared for little kids to the local Toy Drive..had three small cars with it also. Then one of my ancestors married into the Toll Gate Inn family...actually two sisters married two brothers...there's an nice restruant dedicated to them and others up in Sandy, Oregon...and every year this time I go up there and get some of their fancy cookies and goodies....was going to give it to my "trucker" brother and he;s not answering phones at his house...or else he's out on truck and she's sleeping in....so I realized...I had an small fancy decorated Fancy Boston Cake...and if he's already out on the road...it would spoil by the time he got it....so I took everything over to my neighbor with the beauty shop...maybe she or someone comes to her shop would enjoy the stuff. I do these crazy things because they have become an tradition to me. When we were growing up in town, our land lady always dropped us off an box of homemade "goodies"and it was to us at the time just as important as any gift we got. Last time I saw her...she had come to an small wedding shower for me....and had told us then that she was going blind...due to old age...but she wanted another generation started correctly as she said......so she had some hand embroidered pillowcases for me...which I still have by the way....she eventually sold our house and other property...and moved to "Christmas Valley" in eastern Oregon. When I think of people that helped to make our childhood just an little better by the things they did...Hazel Schiller was one of them. Her grand-daughter was an classmate of mine also, I use to play with as an child. When we rented her house...she had just became an "widow" herself..for the two of us...we helped each other back then...an "freind in need is an freind" indeed kind of thing. I am concerned about William and particularly "Kate" as I read she is hospitalized for morning sickness. Sending her God's healing also this morning. It's probably because she is so thin she's dealing with this...and something I would think will go away eventually. I worked the year I was pregnant with my son...but our adminsitrator told me ahead of time...stay off anything greasy...and don't eat an big breakfast...and take "Malox" if you get weasy to the stomach...and I did... and never had an bad case of morning sickness....though I know plenty of girls that had...most of them seemed to be thin girls to tell you the truth...but kind of worked itself out the door as the pregancy went along. It's good William is with her now...there is something about having the strength of your mate there with you going through things like this...esp your first. I think my son and his daugther bonded as he'd talk to her inside her mother nightly as he rubbed my daughter in-law's tummy at night. I heard Kate was pregnant and most likely would release the news around Christmas time...now it's an reality. Wonder when the baby will be born later on.I use to tease my kids..when they lived here...as I went one time to help her clean the bedroom and ran into all kinds of "sex manuals" and "pregancy" books...and "What to do when the baby comes" stuff. I accused them of having "kinky" sex...which I knew they weren't but I'd tease them anyway...we went up to see my sister in-law and rented an motel room when she was big and pregnant....and I walked in on them(after knocking first)...him helping her put on her shoes because she was so "big" she could hardly see her feet...he had her laying across the bed..and I way cool mentions..."Kids this is NOT the time for "kinky sex"....later...and laughed...I wish you could of seen the look they gave me...I exited while it was still safe. I did everything I could to try to make her comfortable. It must of worked, they had three kids. Babies are kind of special you know. My reguards to an happy and healthy episode for Kate and William this morning onward...always. I have to dash for the time being..I played around an bit and got my hubby this morning...another gift...it's an "Craftsman" 35 Led rechargable work light....rotates 360 degrees...magnet included and an hook also..Ac-Dc charger included..end of light serves as an spot light and Instant on switch...liked it so well, got my son one also. Last two ones left. They had put them on sale. So off I go..have one tree to finsih as of yet..... Have an good day! |

THEN i had a man suddenly appeared on skype telling me my system was running slow and told me what to do which I ignored I thought I was in control of my laptop |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 18:48 on 4th December 2012 Good morning everyone!...well, things are pretty much coming to an end in the decorating department...I'm moving the left overs into the garage and have an few things to "tweek" and am finsihed and cando some in-depth cleaning work before the kids get out of school for Christmas vacation. Started "resting" an bit more last night. Slept in this morning. Probably look into my diet an bit better here soon also. For those of you that have no limits on how much you spend...try going to this web site...cookie bouquet....CookiesByDesign.com.For some areas it's same day delivery. A bit pricey... they look like works of "art" instead of cookies. I was watching HGTV this morning...and some of the ideas they were doing..for instance...they took an rather plain looking chest of drawers....about four doors with some handles in the front....and tacked on strips of metal nail hobs you usually see in leather chair edges....they went one round on the edge and then around each door.and made diamond shaped strips around the door knob. I was amazed at the outcome of this.. and how it really made an cheap chest of drawers look designer perfect. second idea was they took and matted rug...like an hallway rug..that was in colorful strips...black, brown, gray, light blue, white orange and it stated over again in colors...and laid down pictures frames on top of it angeled off an bitso the stripes were diagonal. they did this with three picture frames of good size. Cut around the rug to fit the picture..glued it down flat with spray glue and attached on the back of the frame...and it looked very "high end" also for decor. They took the brightest coloe...the orange band and made it the end of the picture so it had the least amount of exposure colorwise and then added below the table some accent pieces in the same color of orange. It really looked nice. Last thing that caught my eye was taking an circle with an X in the middle and adding an hanging light on it...then on the outiside on the top rim of it they appled hot glue and side by side they attached an long silver chain...like an lamp tyep chain or an key ring...all the same length...all the way around...so it was massive...then tied the bottom of it together wo it poofed an bit up top...and used it for an dinning room table light...placed green hydranges in three clear vases undneath of it and an gold and white table china/napkin motif. Once again had an real designer look to it... Unique. All three ideas take some time...but they made the room very nice looking..top decor looks for little the expense of buying them already done most likely. So if your out to "make" an Christmas present this year...there's you some nice ideas. I go for now....and hope all is going well today. |

Do NOT ever respond to any offer of help to "fix" your computer which may come up on-line. I suggest you run a system restore to a date prior to when these odd things started happening or, if you have one, run a full anti virus scam. The trouble is these trojans don't always get found by anti virus software. A system restore is best but as a last resort your operating system may need to be re-installed following a hard disc drive reformat. I hope that isn't necessary because you will lose all the files and data you have. I have never seens a POE survey and never get these attampts to infiltrate my system because I do not use Internet Explorer which has been hacked so often that the bad guys have no trouble getting into your system. I use Mozilla Firefox which is as fool proof as they can get and its a free download from the Mozilla website. Good luck. Oh, to find system restore go to "maintenance" in the main start menu if you are using Windows 7 or to system tools if you're using Win XP. Be ever watchful folks the bad guys will stop at nothing if they have targetted your PC. Edited by: Syd Harling at:4th December 2012 20:11 |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 05:22 on 5th December 2012 Hey Syd....my computer problems started when I joined the "Richard Simmons" on line weight loss program many years ago...apparently someone was unhappy with him...they hacked his site and apparently everyone's web site in his site...losie weight...no..but I was swinging to the oldies downstairs pretty good one time.Your right, once done its free all for anyone else. I did what you recommended on my old computer..had an guy run it off on an download...and clear out the whole puter and then reformatted it as an brand new one and gave ti to my grand-daughter for her birthday last year. It works out perfectly...when the kids come over, using grandpa's comptuer downstairs and mine..and hers they each have one of thier own. I lost my facebook password... but each one of them has an bevey of freinds and assoicates on facebook. They all play an on going game of some type...help each other out and climb a little higher in the game playing. Leader of the pack is my daughter in-laws old boss and freind where she use to work. Kids are about the same age. I tell ya...I feel "lost" without being able to watch "Dancing with the Stars" now. Like I'm missing something significant now. I bought an small snowman cake for Christmas dinner today and put it in the freezer for safe keeping until then. Slowly getting back into the genealogy research work and writing. Boexes back downstairs now from the decorations..mostly empty now in the garage. I listened to the radio the other night from some guy in some worldwide ministeries church....you talk about scaring you half to death...he said last week when "Palestine" made themselves into an "state" kind if like...in his opinion it set off the passage in the bible about the start of the 7 years of tribulation.According to him we got the next 7 years for pure hell...followed by annilation primarily. How sad. Really is an bummer hearing it this time of the year. I shut it offand didnt' listen to the whole thing. But he's still saying that 1/3 of the world will die here soon. I think of all the innocent little kids...not to mention that the King James Version of the bible was an "fixed" one by the Catholic church and in what it wanted to control others. I guess we try to keep our noses clean...and "God" at our sides for protection from the baddies? There's an lot left to do to be thinking about dying. But I did read another one of the oldest people alive, an woman in Georgia (USA) died peacefully the other day. It amazes me how these older people over 110 are still always reading books and have an sharp mentality. Must be something to it maybe. This lady was an 116 years old. My mother always maintained that my grandfather's gneration had the best life could offer. They were in-between World one and two...at an time airpalnes, automobiles, and electricity, and just everything you could think of was being invented primarily. But anyway. I have an picture cartoon before me...it's an policeman with his foot on the back of Santa's sleigh writing him out an ticket near the airport...the caption says..."No seat belts, No pilot's licsense, no flight plan...your grounded buddy!"....another?...OK..Santa at the doctor's office on the couch ,telling him his problems...".I want, I want...I want...that's all I ever hear!" Here's an moment of thought for you...You are a jewel...picture a treasure chest filled with the rarest gemstones. Each has lasting beauty, so do you!...Each has incredible value;so do you! Each has an brilliance; so do you!....In fact...you are the most precious of genstones...one of an kind you..Let yourself shine! Talk to all of you tomarrow sometime...have an good evening! |

Hi POEsters. There is NO SUCH SURVEY! I didn't know about it until having just seen Peggy's post, and thanks Syd for pointing Peggy in the right direction. I am sure that not even C&S are aware of this. I also use Firefox... |
