Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 06:05 on 11th February 2014 Already been through it with hubby's knee replacement...and before his sister passed on...she got to see him standing straight and when he lifted his pant leg up..there were no scars...and you couldn't tell he had ever had anything done, just smooth skin...sure does beat having to use crutches. His brother called from back east and she showed him on her cell phone and you know they were all so happy. He looked better last summer then he has in an long long time health wise. As for her passing on...I think her drinking might of just thinned out her blood way to much...why they couldn't fix for her at the hospital is beyond me. But then again, she kept talking like she was willing to go, kept talking about her hubby Don, and how he use to "take care of her"... like maybe she was on her own these days....and it was hard for her. But at least there for an short time, she was happy and looked like she might make it through and be "OK"...sorry it never worked out. You want to help yourself...keep your weight down Ron. Do some walking, don' t have to be hard type walking, just enough to strenghten your muscels once an week.I really notice this being house bound with the snow this week...I feel kind of dull and "blah" in ways. ..esp if I don' t keep my mind occupied. It paid off this time....British History on line....George Lawson's sill starts with ...The Pedigree, as stated in Thoresby's Leeds, page 249, is decduced through 8 descends to (Thomas of Usworth)...from JOhn Lawson, Lord of Fawkegrave, Co., York, Henry III. I haven't seen that part as yet..but I found mention of this area in Norfolk....and it was the whole area that of the King of England duriing John I and way before to even Edward's line. at one time it was given to William de warren, and it does include the name of Washington...as in George Washington's lineage. Later on his builder of their manor home owned some of this ground where George Lawson settled...by the time of his will he's more or less supporting the whole community...but then again, He must of travelled extensively during his life also. I would guess his wife named "GRace" was maybe an Hollies family memeber...as there's several deeds in this area between them and Robert Swift also...that is on George's other papers I have from an long long time back. That makes about four different areas of England they owned estates in. I've found some fallacies also along the way also tha tI kind of question...but there's others working on this all. Now, I would like to know whose he's in cahoots with in Scotland. I do think he is also an "knight's templar" of long time standing. I have papers that he'd been knighted at one time. Anyway...I think maybe it might be easier for Christopher, when I send these papers to him, to make up note cards on the names associated with the papers and should also make an copy for Jason and my son..Gerry at the same time. then I know the boys out here carrying on the Lawson name of our branch have the data also. It's going ot have to go quickly...as I'm still working on the book..though I ususally leave it for at least 3 months time to do off and on. Snow is receeding here, finally..temps are up and by next week will be nearly 60 degrees...and there's pictures of the flooding going on in Somerset in England in Earthboppin.net....and here California so desparately needs some rain. Maybe they could suck some of it up on an transport palne and drop if off to them?...naw, that would be to expensive I suppose. Maybe they should have some tanks to hold it in for over summer though...free irrigation? I go for now. |

Hope the rain will stop soon, here in the states, the weather is so strange in so many places, Biblical drought's in California and Nevada, Lake mead is shrinking and the Colorado River is drying up, and here in the Rockies the mountains ar over 100% of their yearly snow pack for the first time in years....yet, with all the snow comes rapid growth of brush and the perfect fuel for the upcomming fire season,, as it is said ... "it never rains but it pours'.... oops not so good a saying for the south of London.... Have a good day all.... |

If it carries on at this rate it won't be long before the road is shut. Mother might not be going to the supermarket in the morning, we'll see how it goes. How long does the effect of the injection last James, days or weeks ? |

You'll be up and about soon no fear. Bit of heavy rain here this morning but nothing to worry about, fortunately Edited by: Dave John at:11th February 2014 19:56 |
