I seem to remember last Spring, at the end of March beginning of April we had around a few feet of snow here, that said, it's better than all this rain John Smile

Didn't think I'd ever feel like saying this...but...Someone lock up the groundhog for this year..heh?

Shirley Temple.. child movie star... just died and they just hauled off one of the neighbors up the street off in an ambulance. There goes our so called "Neighborhood Association" next summer.

WE are finally seeing pictures of your flooding on earthboppin.net from the BBC news. Dramatic. I don' t know what you people can do really in some cases, I've seen things like that here especially along the coast and with hundreds of cows that drown..dead laying in the water drenched flields. they asked the farmers back east to volunteer an newborn to help them out, so they didn't go belly up finanacially...they make famous "Tillamook" cheese over there. My son was involved with the flood waters of Vernonia, his boss donated their trucks to deliver free volunteer furniture to the hardest hit homes. So he spent an weekend delivering new sofa a beds to victims. They rebuilt an new school up higher in the hills and many of the houses that sat in flood waters, they helped them to get raised up on higher foundations afterwards...replaced water soaked boards as they went. Lumber companies volenteered that also...most the companies took the price of it off thier taxes as an charitable gift. Neighobrs helped neighbors and the state department stacked fallen timber along side the road for them to use so they could keep warm if they were without power. A few of them sold some of it for food money also. Have to sit down and think about things and how to go about them..though I must admit they tried this time to do things so if it ever happened again, the damage wouldn not be as great. I guess I go for now, thinking of going to the store for an few things myself today. In one hour's time last night we rose 10 degrees temperature wise and if you don' t think my ears down the side of my face wasn't hurting and ringing off the wall, think again...so I was up dealing with that one. Talk to you later on...good hunting on that groundhog also!

Hi James, all is well over here apart from the weather Frown

I took my mum for that eye test a couple of months ago, we then went to Tesco where we go our separate ways.  When we met up by the checkout I noticed a load of strange things in her trolly that she normally doesn't buy. I questioned her about it and she said she hadn't been able to read her list or see the items on the shelves. I had to sit her down, take her trolly and re do all her shopping. Lesson learned for next time Smile

First time she went she went on her own on the bus. When she came out she couldn't see the numbers on the front of the buses and ended up on the wrong one, since then I've taken her.
