Yes, what is it with the tides in Ireland?...reddit.com did an before and after picture of low tide and high tide there...with an kind of connotation that when they have high tide, it's really an high tide...as there wasn't any beach where prior it looked like 1/2 an mile out in the ocean. They sounded like you had better beware of the tides when you get there maybe....and play it safe.  We have that happen over on the west coast occasionally, but the thing of it over here is the driftwood comes in, those large tree trunks have pinned down more then one person and killed them in the process.
