Just got done looking over some of Ruth's vacation snap shots of San Francisco....she takes good pictures. Hi Ruth...(waves Hand..wildly))...to hot in your neck of the territory...I read these days...needs to cool down some.  We are " doggy sitting" for our kids with thier animals this weekend....they got all their friends together for one last " bash", with our boat on the island in the Columbia River... before all the kids have to go back to school...should "unload" by tomarrow sometimes. Been camping and the ONLY way you can get there is by boat.

James.... Sam Huston's legacy and  life story was done very well at the link for his museum. You should look into it and then tell me if you have any questions on it. I do see many family associated names mentioned in it. But as I said, they kin dof did an "spilt" in Tenneessee...some went ot Texas and some into Ohio/Illinois and surrounding areas. I can't do the "famous Obits" this week, they didn't put them in the paper...but Parade Magazine put in an article by Caroline Kennedy on the memiors her mother (Jackie O.)  left behind not to be opened for 50 years....and the book is coming out in that soon. Hope to get that read maybe...but alas!...no bookstore in town now. Amazon never gives thier phone number much that I can see of either. I think it may be an conspiracy of larger companies.... to never give their phone numbers to buy an product direct. Yet they keep tightening up Credit for everyone also.

I understand Cathyml disliking to get into all the moving again...we moved some five times the first 10 years we were married..it does get tiresome after an while. Boston Market offered me an Restruant management position in Beaverton one time...for 50 cents more..I  could of driven 40 miles more every day...I declined it. All the rush hour traffic morning and night getting across town...just didn't pay in the long run...so they brought someone in to start cutting my hours because of that...they found themselves out of business in no time hardly. Another "presige" job with nothing backing it basically.

Well, we are "relaxing" at the moment...so will go back and do some more...an nice "quiet" time for an change.

Good morning everyone....I spent some time last night looking up Marston Moor...sides the batttle, trying to find out what person named Marston at what time in history were they there and for what purpose.I realize that my reading Bernard Cornwell's books, I've already been at the battle. He said his anscestor's name was Utred, and indeed there was one such named there....I hope he did them well, because all I could find in part was this statement...Long Marston has long been an stronghold of nonconformists, though little is known about their history there....  I wonder how this person cuold write that if they didn't know whom was in the area.

I am now looking for two things...Lord Thomas de Martson, vicar  23rdof March 1348, Exeter Cathedral, inofrmation on him and background....and thisso called Beldesert Castle, of Warwickshire. I can not even find an thing closely named to it. Only thing there is the Warwickshire Castle that is really still left with history. Supposedly the de Monfort family was in this area...and I get an "sense" this is som more attempts of someone to control legacy back then...but will ave my options open...any English POE people ever heard of it?

It was easier for me to find that the Manor of Bunstreux and Richardyns..???...now belongs to Mr. Lawson of High Street Tring, UK. Wonder who he is also.

Anyway...last day of doggie sitting...and the babysitter stepped otu to get me some laundry chemicals. Special ones. Therer's "spots"all over my freshly washed knit tops...from what I have no idea. I go for now...expecting everyone to return today, I hope earlier then later. As first day of school is tomarrow...and I know that it can be overwelming and tiring on an three day weekend with an lot of other little kids around and about....everyone out and about. If someone is listed in the old records as an "pistor"...would that be an "Pastor" of an church perhaps....or maybe an gun maker?

According to wordage in ancient texts...an "pistor" is an certain kind of bread baker, coming from Rome, whom used moulds to make large round  type of flat bread in ...they had thier own Trade Guild worldwide as "bakers"....something probably Wawrickshire Castle needed for massive entertainment purposes as well as maintaining the castle keepers/staffing maybe?

Hi everybody.  Hii Shirley!!  ...(waves Hand..wildly).  Thanks for the compliment on the pix.  Maybe one day I'll get a little farther up the coast to your neck of the woods.

Hi James!  Why on earth do you need new sod for your lawn?  Do you have to put in a winter lawn?  I would think that apart from having to mow, lawns would be pretty self-sustaining over there.

Where I live, people who want green lawn year-round have to overseed their summer grass (typically Bermuda) with rye grass, which stays green throughout our winter.

I'll bet your garden's lovely.  You should post a picture.
