Our fire up on th enorth side of Mt. Hood is now some 4,000 square acres burning, they put Portland under an burning ban...means no fires including BBQ's and smoking ciggarettes outside. We are also under an pollution alert and heat advisory...at least until about next Monday, when the temperatures drop...we supposedly have been having rain ann around us, I don't see any moisture on teh streets though...but Dropplar Radar says it's being picked up all over in my area. We have clouds out there...but the sun is hining nonetheless.Maybe Dropplar Radar is in another "dimension" time warp these days?...who knows any more. Guess I'll understand if I go out and stand in the sun and come back "wet"..laughs* It was still around 80 degrees last night at 11 pm. I stay up late to let coolerair into the house...but it's getting tiring for me. Dear old James helped me though with his question to answer. and I'm abotu done with it for now. I think even he left for an drink......talk to you all later on. If we make here without thunderstorms today I woud be much surprised.

Ah, well, can't get into my gmail email account again...so I can't contact Gonal for the receipe card send off...I have her email addy, not her snail mail addy.  Whomever has knocked me off my email so I can get into it again.. it won't accept my password...has also done the same thing to the Fantasticform2.com web site for me also..this is what I HATE about having to register at an web site..it don't stop those from wanting to make trouble...all they got be is "clever" buttheads at the computer(they do this to control others I guess you know)...anyway...supposedly I have 10 messages waiting to be opened. I don't know if I can find Shirleypals Michigan home phone number or not on my phone.again. I said this many years ago...until they come up with an personal key like cash registers have for the retail clerks and issue an key for your computer.. and we use them to open up our comptuer data, we will always have this problem of idenity theft.... even now they have gone to "keys" as well as "plug in" Identiy cards on top of that for clerks. Just in case one or the other gets lost or stolen. Even if I ask for an new password, it could cause me to lose all my previous postings.

I ate an Balogna sandwhich today just from all I've put up with.,,..you guessed it...supposedly my grandaughter called me at 11:48...about lunch time....she tells me when I caught up with her...her phone is broke...I called my grandson around 2:00 pm...I got an answer from an "private call" around 2:07 pm....when I went out to see if the kids were all there and everything was "OK"....I find out that he doesn't get home from school until 4 pm, the school doesn't allow cell phone calls and he lost his phone last week and doesn't know where it's at either...in the meantime I have no idea who "Linda" is yet. I have tried to send back the call from my phone...won't go through. It may be that if this person in using Yahoo e-mail...that's why I can't access my email service and it keeps kicking me out also...won't accep tmy password. Its an sheer miracle I evn can come in these days any more so as to say. It also highly "irks me"... as when I have an problem, I generally like to get down to it an dhave it solved but the computer industry doesn't  make it that simple. I can never "think"of running my dept years back with the red tape bundled up rigamaroll today's business society runs things in general...but anyway.

.....they took 700 adults...1/2 of them went on an doctor's diet plan and the other half went on weight watchers....the first group lost 5 pounds, the second group in the same amount of time lost 11 pounds. No "pills" at weight watcher's. No extra added costs either because you can eat pretty much any kind of food as long as you do it according to the amounts listed and with compatible food for the days intake. Just thought you'd like to know.

P. S. Dropplar radar says it rain in small storm cells here most of today(esp this morning)..when I look out and for the majority of the day...it was blue sky and sunshine. It has clouded up tonight I see though. It makes you feel like your living in some kind of " freaky" world with all these things going. You know what I mean....Gesh!

I went bird watching today; just as short trip so only saw 26 different spiecies.

Its 7 PM now, so I'm going to pop out on my bike and see if there is anything different from what I've already seen, flying around the neighbourhood. Might catch (well, not litereally) a Great-Horned Owl or a Night Hawk, if I'm lucky.

It's been a good day.

I can endorse what you say about WeightWatchers Shirley.  I'm very happy to say I have lost 30 lbs in 6 months with them.  It has improved my dodgy knee considerably, and also lowered my blood pressure!  Well worth the effort, and now I have to keep it off!!!

Congratulation Marjorie, that is not easy to lose and even harder to keep off, but obviously your health benefitted, so keep up the good work.

Yeah Ron - just sit by your window and you can see them!! lol

Hi everyone!  Hope you will all have a wonderful weekend!

Marjorie.  What was wrong with your knee ?  I now have osteoarthritis and the crepitus can be heard !  Weight loss is indicated as an aid, any opinion please ?
