AS the leaves slowly fall to the east, another day gone...and it's been an busy one also. The tail end of Alaska's hurricane is here now, and not as furious as what thought it was going to be. Yesterday it was windy and leaves coming down in like an mountain snow "white-out". Today...just light drippy rain for now.

In the world of twixt an tween...my sister in-law acquirred for frree she says.... through her brother..... some furniture to the tune of maybe some $1200 through an rental home she says her brother rents out...now I'm old enough to know that no one gives this kind of stuff away to anyone for free....and my first guess is that it's stolen merchandise.... as much of it id via with the hispanics these days. I see this kind of stuff going on all the time any more. I let her revel in her glee thinking how most laides wait half their lfe to have somethng this nice...let alone to get it for "free". Oops..company...talk later on.

Always reminds me of the Moody Blues' Forever Autumn.

I guess the Martians ended up in Horsely Common when they were diverted off the M25 and their inter-galactic sat nav didn't work on Britain's roads, while looking for Justin Hayward's home.

I'm back for an bit...my sister called earlier tonight....and she says, yes, your correct,,,,nothing is free these days.  You don' think this is why I was doubled billed $600 bucks last year by the doctor and my son had his ATV high- jacked...it was someone knew my sister in law?...that sounds so bad...I guess I shouldn't say it...but my other sister in-law passed on also...and ever since the family has been little busy bee's collecting and repairing and doing things with no jobs. We can't be this way even with jobs these days. A good lot of things that I've said I need done in my house here. Which bothers me that all these other bills I come up across are causing me to not get done what I need to be doing for myself... as my doctor wanted me to do. We always have this thing of "feather blowing" going on with getting Cancer among some of these people also..to where I'm generally sick and tired of hearing it being handed to me when its not my problem to solve....I have an different purpose in my life then that...and I known what it is when even they don't. It's windy and blowing outside and dark tonight...kind of night you'd like to be by an fireplace somewhere and indeed in an castle of strength against the storm. I wonder how the "Occupy Portland" people are doing...they called an farewell "potluck " for the whole city tonight...suppose to disband tomarrow. An quiet sorrow for better times in ways...but an determned action by the authorities...most people argree on that also. The wind is an bad omen to me also most the time, though it is the time of the year for this stuff. One of the first songs I ever learned as an kid in choir was "When you walk through the wind, hold your head up high...and don't be afraid of the dark....it's an old song...can't remember the name of it. I  got my brother's ham over to him for the Holidays...and one for my son, one of my sister and she got her own small turkey to put up for later on...and one for hubby and I... if we don't go to help my kids  eat thiers . I still have the turkeys as yet  Last year we supplied meat for 20..maybe 22 and my sister..I think her brother came also....three families...two with three kids each and parents, 6 grandparents, and one with two kids and parents....an sister an brother  amooung the family. That's why I have to get these turkey's at the best price I can. Otherwise I can't afford to do this. They are still 3 x's higher then what I'm hoping I buy them for this year. Hams are for New Year's Day.  Our Traditon has it Turkey for Thanksgiving...Beef for Christmas and Ham for New Year's Day and Chinese food for New Year's Eve...and I guess some of the relative have "fish" on Christmas Eve in an celebration of the Catholic in the family....rest of us go to see an family movie and come home for late night  church services and cookies and drinks....and for us parents...we stay up late building bikes, and what not else for Christmas Morning for the wee little ones. Things are changing though. one Christmas Eve here recently went to two different church services...one iwht my sister and one with all three of us...hubby, sis and myself.  One had such grandur and was an huge church with an lot of people...very professional...and this little church by me, whose Reverand was my neighbor...before he let his house go back to the mortage company...moved into his parents house...they went to an retirement center. An small church...he had an candlight service and an guitar player was all...but an very nice service...an simple one..he gathered everyone around to sing songs...I think Jesus and God would approve...even if ther were not tow huge grand sized tv screens. I coul djust about read the words to the music we were singing..ha!... Both were quite good. The other church is where my grandson has his scout meetings. I guess I should get going, just rambling on an bit tonight. Not much else to do. Time for me to pick  up an "angel" book to read also...I kind of get guided to them most the time...so I never know what I'm about to pick up. Talk later on...have an good evening everyone.

Ron, we have BBC on cable here...while it's mostly news sometimes they have other shows...I'll have to check it out.  I've enjoyed some of the shows I've picked up on so far.

I sit here crying this morning as I read the paper on "Occupy Portland"...but this morning it's been broken up and city cleaning crews are there removing stuff. Mostly wood pallets it looks like and cones and signs from the city itself. "Thousands" showed up last night and they stood in an crowd with their hands in their pockets, breast to breast and defied the police in riot gear to come at them violently. The police backed down somewhat...but not thier lines or in leaving...and an city official and an lawyer with microphones told them what would happen if they didn't leave and how to proceed if they were arrested and then told them that the city was not backing down, they wanted them to leave peacefully on their own....they would wait until they did and not try to force them. They did so and while there are but an few tents left there...I think empty ones..as an remberance of the movement for an bit longer....city officials came in to help direct the homeless to an place to live for this winter and so it goes...the city has its problems...but everyone conducted themselves pretty much fairly well. This is the "Portland" I've always know it to be. One of freedom..one of change...but one of co-operation also. One of  "brotherhood" more then issue. Cops had to put up with an lot of shouting though..."These are our streets...we are the 99 per cent"!You have jobs...because we are the 99 per cent going without"" such type of shouts...but not violence. And they talked to an guy that's been down there serving food for the last 5 weeks, himself out of an job from Intel..an "engineer"...and I wonder why because "Intel" recently has been saying their profits are up by 47 per cent recently...so why would this guy be out of an job there? Something doesn't sound right. I guess "Occupy Portland" lives to protest another day and of the coming week....three nights will be under 35 degrees in the area....heavy mountain nows mid-week. With this though comes another problem...the "authorities" that lined their pockets with Gold many years ago...depend on the goodwill of the 99 per cent to fund the Food Banks, pay the taxes..etc...and without "Jobs" the 99 per cent simply can't do it. Auhtorities turning their backs on the 99 per cent are asking to someday lose thir businesses, and throw the country into an depression if they don't help...because they are the only  ones left with any money to help. So now Christmas comes, and the streets should be cleaned up... an "merry" for the shoppers...if the shoppers have any money to spend. We will see what comes after the holidays as to how things went.

They have the Turkey's at the right price now...but I have to buy one hundred dollars worth of groceries to get them at the special prices. I have at least three turkey's to buy...mostly over 20 pounders to feed the people grouping up with their kids and grandkids in their houses...an little left over for anyone else...as I had two kids one year whom their father sent into their mother for the Holidays and she never showed up at the Bus Stop to pick them up...whom called thier grandparents....and whom all came over Thanksgiving Day here...the mother is an known alcoholic....which is why they are divorced to begin with...daughter in-law's group. She was sobering up in jail we found out later on. Alcohol to me is not an lot of fun under these circumstances...and I felt so sorry for these kids "stranded"...it must of scared them. Thier mother lives very well..dispite her addiction. At any rate...I will probably have not to much an problem with the first $100...after that it's something else even for me. But I'm working on it....Hopefully today also. So were you to come to my house and you see an lot of toliet paper around for the days ahead...you'll know why...laughs*....its that $100 thingy. Good time to buy the Beef for Christmas also...well..that should be about an $100 these days. Perhaps I should go into "ducks" for Christmas an send the guys out "hunting"? No, by next year we will understand all about retirement days and need them perhaps then. But then again...I know an lot of retail clerks that need thier jobs to survive also. Take an deep breathe Shirley.. and go  about at it as you can. I go for now. You all have an good day. We hope the bright star of Bethlahem shines forth this year..for hope in days ahead.. and we have some good guardian angels with us to help sustain us through the season. They tend to knock me down on my knees in an feeling of "love" sometimes unexpectedly...and left in tears of joy..but it's nice to know they are there sometimes. The message is loud an clear people...help others right now in any way you can do so....don' t make it something you HAVE to do..but you want to do..because you have an humane heart and truly "care".
