Oh Cathy I can empathise with you. Our electricity only came back fully at 11:30 this morning. I then heard from my mate on the other side of the village that theirs had gone off. It seems to be becoming quite serious and, if generators were not so expensive and the fuel was not so expensive it would make sense to go for independance from the grid. I believe that for around R60 K one can get a system which works mainly of the sun and allows one to disconnect from the grid. Sadly R60 K is too much money and seeing as I shall be moving at the end of the year it is not worth it. I guess the saying AWA (Africa Wins Again) is becoming appropriate in the circumstances. Will it ever get better? I wonder.

Oh, by the way Emirate Airlines are offering quite reasonable airfares if you don't mind going via Dubai and spending 4 hours or so there..................... James is preparing the spare room as we speak. (LOL)

G'night all and all strength to you Ron in your fight for fairness and justice.

As Wainwright said...There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothing......he may well be right but I'd rather have good weather and the right clothing. But no matter what I will enjoy my week and yes Vince and I have a get together planned for Monday lunchtime in the lovely little village of Hawkshead at the Kings Head, the subject of a recent I-spy......
