It is most certainly the best way to cook fish, for what it cost if it only lasts 6 months we'll have had our money's worth Smile

Same here today in the local garden centre Ruth, a big area roped off, and all the Christmas displays being set up, and outside it must have been about 25c, they don't let the grass grow under their feet when there's a buck to be made

Good morning everyone...yesI have but an few Social Security checks before Christmas arrives....one reason why it's necessary to think about it right now. So I found three grape vine wreaths wired together vertically...hooked down to an wooden set of legs painted green...an  box top hat...and an bright red plaid scarf around the bottom of the second vine wreath, two leafless tree branches coming off the second wreath..like arms and presto!...instant snowman, if you want you can wire him up with mini lights for nighttime. then he can go near the front porch...or be given away as an gift.

It's  raining here right now...was waiting for the rain to come in...was really feeling strange last night...third eye area...so I knew it was coming...I don't mind...we picked as much of our garden in it's final phase as possible..all I have left now is swiss chard and leaf lettace and cabbage. They should do ok until the first freeze.

Sue your on the road to recovery..it takes an while on that one also..and I know how your feeling  after having  shingles...they were pretty painful also...and affect your nerve endings. Might try some Lipoprin..it's herbal...to anything else your taking shouldn't affect it. check first though with the doctor just to be on the safe side.

All this talk of fish..gesh...I'm either going to have to go out to an salmon dinner to visit "Long John Silvers" locally. If you ask me, people that don't like fish, usually don' t know how to cook it correctly either. Eat it while you can get it off the Atlantic side of the ocean. It is getting to where they don' t think in the days ahead the western ocean fish will not be contaminated from radiation from Japan's nuke accident after the earthquake over there.

I listened to John Houge last night on "coast".. Nostordameus expert and  historian...he likened what is happening right now (Syria) to Europe's 30 year war in the 1700's....in that it is an secular war over in the Middle east.. He said in the 30 years war it was the Catholic vs the Protestant vs any Christians left....he said over half of Europe was killed in that war before it stopped with King George...who then saw him in our Revolutionary war era. He says that his astrology shows periods off and on with the same position as during our Revolutionary war era. He thinks what comes down now...will be full blown by the year 1014-2015. He said it should be very interesting to see if Obama listens to the people he represents...or himself...if he does that latter he may be in line for treatment by rebellion himself..it will be an clearissue of representation of the people's wants and needs or the higher echons of CEO's and coporations seeking to make money off the struggles of the middle east.. People agree...this is an civil war and not our war. We all are against the use of chemical weapons. But we see one side just as criminally wrong in what they are doing and the opposition factor they fight. We are tired of seeing our sons die for an cause that may never be resolved for the betterment of the world in the long haul of things. Many think it is just another attempt to also get Isreal involved in an war so other nations can destroy it also...and the world start WWIII. It just isn't worth it. But what Obama does, is yet to be watched...he still has not taken the proper measures with the UN council even if he makes it through Congress. So what do we have as to following the rules and regulations to an settlement of what should be done...do we do it right...or like the others an jump in for the all over battle of whose right or wrong...I say we should do it through as many diplomatic solutions as possible before anything else takes place. As I've said before...Sticks and stones will hurt my bones, but names will never hurt me. Last article I read says he doesn't think that Congress will pass this..to many people against it. With all the bloodshed over there, they must be raising their families to die...and that's an very sad thing to have to say. Look at their faces of th elittle kids an know in your heart that you have the same dreams and aspirations they they do..reguardless of your political standing. Death should not be an made an prioity in the world..over living..

I go for now...you all have an good day!

Happy Friday to all! There is a touch of autumn in the air here in New England. It's a crisp 49 degrees and expected to only make it into the high 60's on the coast.

I confess to loving the autumn when nature dons her coat of multi colors. And I look forward to all the holidays but I do wish the retail world would slow down and let us enjoy each season and each holiday without rushing us into the next. Around here it's become one big HappyHolloweenThanksgivingChristmas.

Morning everyone, there's a touch of Autumn in the air here too Diana, it's been pouring down all night and the temperature has dropped. It's staring to look a bit brighter but not much.

We had no conkers at all last year John, this year the trees seem to be loaded with them. Still no sign of the leaves starting to turn though.
