The two up the road from us, Ryburn and Batings are filling up nicely too, Ryburn was lower this year than I've ever seen it. Doesn't take much round here to fill them up again, once the water starts pouring off the moors, and there's been plenty of that in the last few days. |

It is then usually only a matter of "day surgery" at the most. It's been an long day...really long day...but two houses done on the carpet cleaning and one left for tomarrow and three houses are so much better for the Holidays. Sarah helped grandpa do my sister's apartment, while I picked up stuff and reorganized it a little better, we also were washing things as we went along and spraying things down with Fabreeze..and odor elimenator. Then we came home and my son picked her up with the kids and they wen tto an birthday party...while were cleaning our house up...which took most the afternoon and evening. But we made it out to dinner...and took oour baths and have ben relaxing ever since. WE go our ot the kid's house tomarrow...then take it back to the rental place, we got the biggest and most powerful unit they had..and one that takes wide strips across the floor for faster cleaning. My sister had her church friends coming over tomarrow. I just saw and idea..over in the Tweo..whatever board at earthboppin . net....how to make an small DIY heater using fourtea lights and one metal bread baking pan...and two flower pots...and this guy says it will heat an small room if kept going for four hours in the morning and four hours in the afternoon....for 8 pennies an day.It works by heat transfer. On the bottom of an bread loaf pan, you place four lighted tea candles...then you place an clay pot over them upside down and over that an larger pot upside down that goes over both sides of the bread pan slightly. The bottom pot upside down, heats up and the one slightly bigger pulls in the col air an raises the heat out of the hole in the pots. Remember...heat rises in school science classes. He used twp pots...placed both of them on an cookie sheet, on top of an thick magazine for table padding. I would say his office was what he was the area he was heating up, it wasn't an real big room. But if it works, it might help supplement paying higher heating bills over the long haul of things. I think he said his office was on an boat maybe. Something you guys might like to try out and tell us how well it works. Anyway, I'm headed off to bed as the morning comes early...so have an good evening everyone! |
