Good to hear you're getting better Richard Smile

We've spent the day walking in the Yorkshire Dales, bit nippy but otherwise not too bad, at least the rain kept away.

Hi poers, now got internet again, it went off on Sun evening, on tuesday I rang BT knowing I cannot normally understand the person at the other end, but after a frustrated conversation between the two of us I grasped that it  was the fault of my old home hub, they sent me a new one which looks just like a small radio so now back in business,  will be back later to catch up

Glad to see you back Peggy, I've heard of quite a few people having trouble with BT's Home Hub. Crops up an awful lot on a computer forum I'm a member of.

My friend has one and two weeks ago for no reason she had no internet, she rang BT and found out they had just cut her off. Took 4  days to get sorted, she ended up using the 3G on her iPhone to access important things, she was not happy, anyway they have refunded her a months line rental, after she kicked up a fuss.

BT's Home Hub....yes, I have the same installed and every time I turn the modem on I have to 'reconnect' from WiFi to Home hub. BT apparently know about this issue, but appear not to want to fix it.

It's a nuisance for sure, but I guess they are too busy trying to make more money for their latest Sports deal purchase like charging for caller display and answerphone facility, which we have just dumped as a result.

I was with orange/EE from start so 15 or more years, never had a problem connecting, although they wouldn't allow me to send out emails from the PCS site so they were dumped.

Why can't companies just give you what you want for the price agreed, rather than hook you and then put the price up? B....ds!

My mum is with BT, her bill comes to me via email, trying to decipher what she is actually paying for when the bill arrives is a nightmare. It seems that the actual phone calls only make up a small proportion of what is being charged. I'm pretty good with stuff like that but it has me baffled.

I'm sure she's paying for a load of things she doesn't need, but will she change - no.

Good morning...I woke up to the weather man on TV showing incoming snow in my area come this Sunday....at least I don't think it was for an year's past report. I'm fairly well ready for things of that nature I hope. If it happens..it will have made the Farmer's Almanac correct for this year's first snowfall here in the valley...though it doesn't look much but just an squall going through briefly right now.I should be just on the edge of it here at my house. None the less I have an rip roarin 'headache going on right now so won't stay to long for the moment. Have an good day everyone.
