I'm not much of TV watcher either, I don't like soaps, I can't stand any sort of reality TV, like the dancing or singing stuff. When you've removed them there's not much left but repeats of the old stuff. |

A portion of plasterwork has fallen from the kitchen wall, outside is flooded, it's still blowing and another storm is on the cards for Friday. As you say Happy hols |
rustyruth Posts: 18773 Joined: 23rd Oct 2012 Location: England | Posted at 16:12 on 24th December 2013 Unfortunately John our friends live right on the coast so they get everything the Atlantic throws at them. They are also in a very isolated spot, the end cottage of a row of 6 down a two mile track from the main road. All the other houses on the row are holiday lets so no one around at this time of year to help them out. Both are in their mid 70's as well which doesn't help. Fortunately they have family not too far away that they can call on for help. Fingers crossed for you and them that it doesn't get any worse. |

Seems we are going to have break from it on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, then it's back on Friday. We've been checking the York webcam throughout the day, it's seems York is slowly vanishing under water again. Roads signs that were above water level an hour ago have been sallowed up. |
