Afternoon everyone Smile

No plans at all for New Years Eve, not going out, no one coming round, rubbish on the TV. I hate parties/crowds, so it will be a quiet night in with a DVD. I've a new one on its way from Amazon, Vince knows what it is Laughing

I don't go out either. As James indicates you have to be out so early and nowadays usually to pay to get in a pub!!! Couple of mates may pop round otherwise a quiet night in with a DVD or two. A bit of time on here and see how it goes.

Thanks for the invite James Smile

Last time we went in a pub round here, and there are loads, I was staggered to find that two glasses of house wine cost over £10 Surprised  New Years Eve they'll all be packed with people willing to pay silly money for a couple of drinks, not for me thanks.

Last year my mates son went to a local pub with the deal being £20 to go in --2 free pints--and hot-pot - that was it only to find the hot-pots were bought in from a local food manufacturer which retail at 95p plus the £4-80 for the beer --not a bad profit eh??Smile

Hubby has Scout Christmas Tree recycling on the weekend ..Dec 28/29th and Dec. 30 is his birthday and we have an gift certificate for the Olive Garden..might go out to dinner..next night is New year's Eve and most likely he will want to rest, or we will get into taking down the Christmas tree and decorations for New Year's Day so he can put it all back up in the attic to start an new year over again...while he has th etime off and it's daylight to see to di this. Lots of costume parties going on this year I notice though going past billboards on buildings having the parties this year. My son is working an night shift and sleeping days  right now...so doubt they do much also. I'm inot lightly writing now..stayed up until 2 am last night writing aScoutn article. Slept in also, but hubby took off early for the first weekend of  Scout tree recycling this weekend. At least it's good weather out there for them do do it in. Our tree is artificial..so it won't be taken in...put rather taken apart and put back for another year.  An live 12 foot tree is pretty expensive these days..we went the route of an artificial one couple years back.  That's ok..it save another live tree....talk later on...have an good day!

My post got messed up...not writing an scout article...I'm writing about the lineage of Henry VI and his mental problems in the father's side. Out of upteen kids born to Charles VI  of  France...only an couple made it into adulthood..and I see a lot of infant deaths going on. It sounds like an bit tof epilpsey going on and medically unchecked for the era. but they were marrying to close an relatives also...at one time an 5 year old neice...even at maturity of 14.... it was to young to marry for pregancy. The rest deals with greedy family members, taking authority and running the crown for these aflicted people..with hands in their pockets from having to helped themselves in that process....Margaret of Anjou, the wife of Henry VI is kind of dicey about taking control for herself from King Henry VI..herself. She apparently had several affairs and laisons while married also.  She was instrumental in getting into the War of Roses" that brought the downfall of the House of Lancaster...and the Plangenant family lineage. Few people probably know but I have concerning them an bunch of "monks/preachers" surrounding them putting out articles that there is no such thing as "witches" that makes it into Boston, Massachusetts later on..by the way of Rev. Dodate Lawson (father thomas)....another religious zealot looking to make an name for himself as the Reverand Cotton Mather. Some of this includes the Beguine Women's Movement vs the Catholic church of the day also.  I doubt most people would understand this if they didn't do their indepth history. It centers around Burgany, FRance into the English Crown.  Boy Scouts of America have nothing to do with the politics of these people back then...they were unheard of back then. It's the lucifer influence again maybe...that just migh tindicate Catholic intervention to rewrite today's histories from lies made up in the past...once again for "control" perhaps? Why do they not let "God" run things?......it's his world first and foremost.

Cannot remember the time we did new years eve out, not a special time at all, even the television does ones head in ( cannot cope with Jules Holland or Andy Stewart or anything like that at all ), methinks it will have to be with the good folk of POE except Ruth will be tied up with that DVD - hope it is good after all. And of course Dave will disappear to go listen to ships hooters, that leaves James if he has not blagged a place and John dodging aircraft indoors and outside- goodness knows where anyone else will be lurking.
