I wonder if there's been a power cut ? He's not had a good year this will be the last thing he needs - fingers crossed that he's just busy. |

Folks, many thanks for the concern but glad to report so far so good, yes very windy and wet but high and dry and a clear run to work, ( not such an easy day there though- took a day and half to still over one dump the to the still and that should only take 40 mins or less !!! ) . Having said high and dry , very close to home many situatiions , someone I know who is only a quarter of a mile away has been flooded out and that is the third time over the years. Areas of Leatherhead ( some where my last posted pics were taken ) have had very severe flooding and not so far away the Burford Bridge Hotel near the bottom of the Zig-Zag at Box Hill has been swamped as was Morrissons in Reigate and many planes at Redhill aerodrome were in the middle of a mass of water. So many have been flooded and even more left without power with little chance of getting it back for a day or two , so let us spare a thought for all those in one prdicament or another. |

Winter woes perhaps fellas...hope it doesn't get any worse then it is and things recover quickly...we fog here as thick as pea soup....my big 6 foot blue star out my kitchen window I can ususally see with no problem looks like an blue blur tonight. Suppose to be thsi way fro an couple more days. Kind of unusal in these parts, but makes me think of "London Fog"...if you know what I mean. Best thing I ever seen to help the flooding was huge clear plastic tarps wrapped a couple times around an huge peice of wood...like 8 feet long and 4 feet wide and then placed or nails up to the side of the house with sand bags between the house and wood...and on the other side of it also. I've seen houses surrounded with water like an river...unscathed from the damage of any water having done this back east....whih si is ince and snow at the moment. It takes an wind pretty good also without falling if it's nailed properly. .....Merry Christmas Richard ...I should send you guys some of my Roast beef sauce for tomarrow...brown gravy, blueberry Jam, butter, and an wee tad bit of raspberry liquor, and frozen bluberries and raspberrys that I smashed down an bit...it's all blending right now the flavors in the refrigerator...then you put the sauce under some roast beef and regualr gravy drizzles over the top. I also did some mediallion rounds of fried potatoes and will finsih them up tomarrow with sour cream an chives...my terriyaki salmon, the rest is greens or veggies. I chose sliced yellow squash and zucchinni and an few carrots for them. But anyway..out ot the kid's house an back to our for our dinner. So....now I can rest an bit..again..have an Merry Christmas...I can remeber as an child crying my pitiful little eyes out singing "Away in the Manger" and mother asked me why I was crying and I told her cause Jesus didn't have anywhere to laid his head and rest...and he was just an wee baby.. She told me he probably was held by his mom or dad instead. Seemd to calm me...but I never forgot that. I managed to sing it through choir at church without the crying though. I didn't do to good though at kindergarden...Doug T pulled on my dress going up the stairway to sing in the choir, I think he tripped or something, cause he messed up my angle wings back then also and I smacked him one... right in front of everyone. Both of us got covered by the the teachers and straightened out and fixed and conintued singing in the faced" there for an while though. You all know how tough it is being an kid..right?...well. Doug grew up to be an local preacher. I took to wearing blue jeans instead of dresses...made climbing a litltlier easier for me. But you know...people have thier problems...if you go over to reddit.com/photos...you can see this wonderful Dunkin Donut Shop on the corner with two lights out of the name...the sign now blazes away reading "Dunkin Nut Shop".. and you want to smile for some reason. I let you go for now. I would like to see the Mass at the Vatican tonight, since it's Pope Francis first one leading this year as the Pope. He is getting quite teh reputation of being the "People's Pope on this side of the Pond, especially down in South America....and he seems most sincere also in what he says. Talk later on...How's Prince William and Kate doing with Christmas this year?...new baby and all.
