Whether you love him or hate him for the controversy he was certainly one of the most talented and influential people of our lifetime. Hopefully now he will find peace.Prayers for his family. |

And to reflect on his family---and the onslought of media attention---and his 3 kids, and I think his brother Tito lives in Devon? A sad night indeed over here and around the world I'm sure. |

I think it'll be one of those days such as the kennedy assasination or when Elvis die or john lennon or Princess Diana. You will remember where you were when you heard the news . sadly its the day after hearing the news of my younger sisters death, I'll probly always remember it now. |

I was driving home from the train station yesterday when I heard about Michael Jackson. It made me think of Robert Palmer who also died unexpectedly from a heart attack while rehearsing or recording. He too was only in his early 50's. You just never know do you? It's so important to live and enjoy each day. |

Other brother in-law we had services for last year from passing on. Hubby's oldest brother died couple years back with heart problems. I wish we could change it a bit, we need to be able to live to our retirement years comfortably having worked hard most our lives, but so goes I guess any more. |

I took this tiny wee thing, smaller then the bill I paid for her with home, and Micheal Jackson was singing "this girl's for me"..or so the tune goes, and I held this liitle black puppy up under her arms, I said "no Micheal, this girl's for me!".. and I sang the song to her..What else could I do..I think the name of the song was "My girl". I mean after all, she was nearly an $100.... by the time she grew up with the kids, she was subject to being seat-belted into an box and pulled by an remote control car through the house with ears out flying, I managed to grab the box and her as it flew past me. then she took to bunny rabbits, I had her fixed, but she always wanted to be an mother dog herself, so she mothered baby bunny rabbits. which quite frequenly got her into trouble, if not from me, the mother rabbit she took the baby away from....Iwould always thnk of Michael Jackson's song, and back then holding her that day thinking what an huge price I paid for something that didnt' even have pedigree papers....the things we do for our "kids". |

Makes you reflect on the preciousness and brevity of life. Especially in the case of Michael Jackson. I read today that he'd been rehearsing for his upcoming concert tour just hours before he died. I've always felt a bit sorry for him. It doesn't seem like he ever grew up and I wonder if it's because he pretty much had his childhood taken away from him. Very eccentric, but a great talent nevertheless. I'm sure we'll be seeing his name in the press for many months to come.
