She was a prolific writer though I don't believe I ever read any of her work. A very strange life she had.

I always heard her greatest work was in this commune thing she set up for Senior citzens...they all helped each other every day live on some grounds she got for them and built, with an grand lodge for activites and small individual cottages/cabins for private needs...they shared things like cutting the grass, gardening, sewing, anything that helped the their own community to thrive an be self-sustaining. I think she did this before her illness set in on her also.

Somehow I missed your posting, Paul. I remember Edward Woodward from "The Equaliser". I enjoyed that show very much and thought he was quite gallant. My condolences to his family.

Actor Richard Todd, OBE has passed away aged 90 at home. He is best remembered for his lead role as Wing Commander Guy Gibson in the film, The Dam Busters. 11 years earlier, Todd had parachuted into France on D Day, and would later be in the film The Longest Day about D Day playing opposite the character playing him, which I think was taking a bridge in France from the enemy. He was awarded the OBE in 1993.
