Roy Disney, nephew of Walt Disney. The consummate sailor. Shattered Trans-Pac record with his racing yacht, Pyewacket.

A man I personally admired.

LOS ANGELES —  Roy E. Disney, the son and nephew of The Walt Disney Co. founders who twice led shareholder revolts that shook up the family business, died Wednesday. He was 79.

Actress Jennifer Jones, aged 90. Was born in 1919 in Tulsa as Phylis Lee Isley. A five time Acadamy Awards nominee, she won Best Actress in 1943. She had played opposite many of Hollywood's legendary leading men in her films. Her last big screen role was playing Lisolette opposite Fred Astaire in The Towering Inferno.

No, Diana; that would be Carolyn Jones. BTW, the Addams Family was based on a comic by Charles Addams.

Merry Christmas to you!

Friends. Just wanted to share the passing of a friend Lady Marguerite Berthoud. Her husband was our  British High Commissionor to Trinidad and Tobago, we become friends while i was the manager of the Asa Wright Nature Center, where they both  loved to visit. They moved back to the UK some years ago. She was a very lovely and interesting person. Marguerite's funeral is on the 16th of January. May she rest in peace.

I know, Rita.  I'm sure it will hurt for a while.  But that's OK.  I remember the old saying, "Grief is the price we pay for love."  You are such a kind person, I'm sure you were a real light in her life, and she in yours.  You're in my thoughts and prayers, Rita.  God bless.
