I know Shirley referred to this in another post, but this is where we should remember Senator Edward Kennedy who died aged 77 years!

It wasn't unexpected, bless him, but he is the last of a generation isn't he? I may not like his personal history but he and his family (at least the older generation) did fully enbody the belief that 'to those to whom much is given, much is expected'. They did much to aid their fellow man...imho.

True..it wasn't un-expected, I think I might of met him last year at Walt's funeral out here, you know they have relatives live in West Portland. Our families have been together in traveles since the mid-1700's..at least we have an Hugh Kennedy in immigration lists with Hugh Martin from Wales at any  rate, the founder of the first US Correspndence school in the world, he's in Who's Who Dictionary if you want to look him up. Lawson's were into Liquor/Distillery's also that made many of them famous a couple generations back also.We have known of each other for some time now. Yes, they definately made an impact in the world when they went into politics.

Songwriter Ellie Greenwich who co-wrote Chapel of Love, Be My Baby, Leader of the Pack, Da Doo Ron Ron, River Deep, Mountain High etc has died from a heart attack in New York at the age of 68. This lady is surely responsible for creating some of the greatest hits of the early 1960's, wouldn't you say? A great loss to us all.
