I may not like his personal history but he and his family (at least the older generation) did fully enbody the belief that 'to those to whom much is given, much is expected'. They did much to aid their fellow man...imho. |

Our families have been together in traveles since the mid-1700's..at least we have an Hugh Kennedy in immigration lists with Hugh Martin from Wales at any rate, the founder of the first US Correspndence school in the world, he's in Who's Who Dictionary if you want to look him up. Lawson's were into Liquor/Distillery's also that made many of them famous a couple generations back also.We have known of each other for some time now. Yes, they definately made an impact in the world when they went into politics. |
Ron Brind Posts: 19041 Joined: 26th Oct 2003 Location: England | Posted at 11:30 on 27th August 2009 Songwriter Ellie Greenwich who co-wrote Chapel of Love, Be My Baby, Leader of the Pack, Da Doo Ron Ron, River Deep, Mountain High etc has died from a heart attack in New York at the age of 68. This lady is surely responsible for creating some of the greatest hits of the early 1960's, wouldn't you say? A great loss to us all. |

On Easter Day 1964, Dee was the first voice heard on the so-called pirate radio station ship, Radio Caroline moored off the Essex coast, taking its name from JFK's daughter. He died aged 74 of cancer. |
