Think Ron was being serious this time Diana!

It turns out that Stephen Gately didn't die from drinking too much at all - it was fluid on the lungs.

Yeah Stephanie, I was being serious because I didn't understand what Diana was eluding to, and still don't to be honest! This boy's death really was a shock and that's how I reacted to Paul's post.

Diana, I didn't get the joke for once but that doesn't mean I am angry with you (If I was, I would write privately via the POE 'contact this member' facility). I just didn't understand. I know I'm a git and that you love me lots so no problem mate, I really just didn't understand.....sorry!

Like Evey said inflections and facial expressions are a must, so don't feel bad about it, or I'll be over on the next flight to sort you out!! Lol

Oh dear! I thought you were joking, Ron. Apologies zooming their way to you big time my friend.

I have never heard of the person in question and thought that you hadn't either, thus, I thought your remark was a tongue-in-cheek was of saying that.

BTW, my remark was in no way a slander on the boy in question nor was it intended to make light of the situation in general.

And this my friends is a prime example of how not being able to hear the inflection in some-one's voice or see the expression on their face can lead to great misunderstandings.

Mia culpa, mia culpa, mia maxima culpa!

Like Evey said inflections and facial expressions are a must! No problem and no need for an apology Diana. The young lad in question was very well known as part of a group called 'Boyzone' and had a quite an incredible voice. Very sad indeed!

Ditto! Lol. I was editing my comment to make the same point, Ron. Great minds think alike...well, most of the time. Smile
