Ron...I'm the only person my sister has to help her. She's diabetic, on state assistence and often times they give the food to "families" and not single people...they figure they can find someone to eat with easier. She found an freind named "Mary" this last year...the one on Kidney Diyalisis...whose husband John died about 4 weeks ago..they have been exchanging making dinners in order to help each other as it is cut costs. It gives me an great peace of mind to know that the kids and the rest of the family can make it through the winter months.Today there are pictures of people laying in the church steps downtown Portland...and it's been 3 weeks of under freezing temperatures here. the churches are finally rescindeing an dletting them sleep in the church...they ussually have to keep them heated somewhat anyway. I alos read that they are going to let them sleep in cars along the streets and nto be towed away perhaps also...they have no place to go. I am not so sure all the hype right now that raised the stock exchange is the truth. The Republican party used this to raise taxes on 160 million americans..Obama is trying to get them to rescind it. They do it at very bad timing. You know, I go into the stores and say "Merry Christmas!" and everyone looks at me like I'm nuts or something. We use to do it as retail clerks as an" thank you" gesture also for being an customer. It don't cost an thing. It goes to show you how we have sunken in humanity to not be able to wish another an "Merry Christmas". The food is no problem if I can buy it througout the year on sale...then it's not so hard helping others. When you help another...you raise the world's status in living for everyone. But charity does start at "home"...and should spread outward...in an reasonable fashion. It shouldn't be taken for granted by the receipent either.

I must tell you this story...we use to belong to an couples "bunco" group...and there are several people in it related to the others.  they got to dominating the group as an whole...and the presents couples won also. They always managed to get the top prizes. If they didn't feel like showing up because of some other event they didn't..leaving the hostess "stuck" finding other players at the last minute. One year I was hostess of the Christmas Party...and my house is small..so I went to an local Inn and rented one of their rooms for this event. Everyone enjoyed themselves so well, they decided it was an nice thing to do the following year and took up donations for the room rental again....the next year came...where the money went is beyond me....they said it cost that much to buy some roast beef for sandwiches instead...which I question in my mind. The year after that it went for buying pizzas and having them home delivered way out in the country...which was expenisve. I felt these people used very bad judgement...and it showed...it finally folded up as an group. So you see, you get back what is put out..and they kind of lead the way in all this closing thngs down. Being unfair is no way to be. But it is I guess I keep the good memories and forget the bad ones....as since then many of the elders of this group have passed on now. I can see where in the world.... they showed us years ago... what would become of things today.... by the thoughts they had.... and how they did things...I feel they were wrong back then and still are in today's world....let's hope they don't finish it off like the game ended also. By seeing it to it they are the "Have's" in the world over everyone else first..at the other guy's expense. God built into our world the necessity to help others.. to make money..and an living...and to do it fairly to stay in business.

I go for now...I had someone over recently admiring my old candlelabra..I bought at the thrit store many years ago...for an whopping $5.99. I have it sitting under an teapot with two cups in my bedroom decor...with an angel (I collect angels) So I went looking for them..and sure enough..she's right..I saw individual candles..and I saw jars of candles but no five candle candleabras anywhere. Neither did I see any little Christmas Sprinkles for cookies. I found cookies made with them on it..but not to make yourself. In both cases I ask myself is this to make more money...by forcing someone that wants candles to buy them separately...or to buy the already higher priced made cookies? The death of products is to raise the pricing on them so high the average person can't afford them.

Predictions are out for the year 2012...several include England...and of course.... that William an Kate will become parents.

Well, I was "resting" until I got an call from my sister with an bunch of rediculousness on her mind. She fabricates anything she needs in her mind some days to help any cause she has going on at the moment...typical "now times" stuff. Anyway...take the rest of the grandkids gifts out to their house and pick up my grand-daughter as she asked to stay tonight. We got an surprise last night...daughter in law and her friend..they both drive the bus...got ahold of it..via their boss... and took everyone of us down to the Portland International Raceway to see the Christmas Light Display...some 20 of us, mostly the kids. There was an double decker bus just ahead of us, they knew the driver of it also, they do tours and the driver works part time for the bus service...he gave the older kids free "tickets"....they were serving donuts and hot chocolate to their passengers...mostly teenagers. Anyway, we didn't get home until late last night. Tonight I hope to see the final of the "X-factor" also...I missed that last night. So have an good day...I see my mailman is out front. Cost of Christmas has started arriving as of yesterday, but it's not to bad so far...as I stuck to paying cash for things as much as I could. Talk later...Have an good day everyone!  I heard my dad's voice the other day...as I was resting... he said..."help me"...in an asking toneof voice... I don't know what this is all about as of yet....he passed over several years ago.

I'm trying to get caught up in everything....rested petty much today also and do feel better.  1,200,000 toys went on ships headed for all over the world this Christmas yesterday...whom they are exactly for I'm not sure, they didnt' say if this was for miltary...Unicef..orphanages, or the impoverished. Where ever let's hope it brings an "smile" to some child this holiday. It's important "kids" have toys that are strickly there's...according to an doctor...they learn the sense of  "security" in their lives... by having thier own toys...and having posession of them from others. One reason Native Americans carry bundle pouches around their necks of things they deem precious to them an have for eon's. Can you see why they hated the school tearing them off their necks and telling them they could not have them at school.  18 Amish men went to jail yesterday also for attacking an barber, I take it at the jail....for trying to cut off their beards...long hair is part of their culture. Not sure the whole story on that one.

I took the roast beef out to unthaw and put it in the downstairs refrigerator...bought my fresh stuff later tonight for the salads...and will work on the rest come tomarrow night an bit. We ussually get together earlier in the afternoon and go see an movie. I don't know if I will do that or not....everyone is split on what movie they want to see.  Should be Christmas Eve there in England right now.  It's late here...so enjoy your Holiday and say an prayer for the babe that started it all. Talk later on....
