Just read the other thread Ron, and the solicitors threatening Don is absolutely disgracefull. actually this can be classed as harassment to an elderly and ill person, have you ever contacted Age Concern about this ?

Don't want to give too much away Peggy just in case they are looking in, but are they in for a shock!

And Syd nowadays that doen't get you anywhere so the pen is mightier my friend!

Ha, ha....dander up CathyML? C'mon then explain that for me please.

However, don't worry dear friends, he doesn't know what he has started.

You haven't heard that saying before Ron?  See me amazed!!  My grandparents often used it when they got angry about something.

(P.S.  It's in my dictionary too - (colloq.) temper, anger, indignation, (person's dander is up, = he is angry).

We just clocked up apporximately 1,550 miles in three days of car travel.

Drove our army lad back to his base in Ft. Lewis, Washington, breaking up the trip with a couple of hotel stays.

It was quite the trip. More driving than I normally care to do, thats for sure. We're used to driving 320 miles to go shopping or to the Doctors, but this was just a little more.

Needless to say, I am totally whacked right now. I did have to pop on though, cause I knew it was Paul's birthday, and I couldn't miss out on that.

Well, Cathyml...we spent most the day out at the kid's while granpa took thier bunk beds apart and cut them in half. They painted one blue and the other one black. The black one gets "Batman" and the blue one gets "Cars" unless she changes their theme along with it all. I got her to bring me home earlier..as my feet are bothering me..but went through three or four loads of bedding for them. Kids start school for this year next week after this one. When I left my son was cutting down an tall shelf that was in thier room and making it into and tall stand for in front of one of the boy's beds. It all left me with an box of smaller clothes to take to the Goodwill and some cotton shirts to iron..she says she doesn't have an ironing board or iron. While he was gone this last week, I bought them some under clothes to start school with an an outifit each..but that's an far cry from what all they need. Also left her some notbook papaer ans some binders and pens.

Bank of clouds out there right now as we all watch Hurricane Issac and where it's going to go. It's only 45 mile gusts right now, bu tthey expect it to build up better before it hits Lousianna.

It surprised me that (1) the youngest of the "Judds" country western group..her hubby lost his leg motorcycle accident last week in South Dakota....(2) Neil Armstrong...fella first walked on the moon passed, and last week was full of obituaries over here.  Prince Harry lost his girfirend for playing "Strip Poker" in an private Hotel suite and some are singing "I'm just mad about Harry" and will leave it at that. (Harry these old coots were young once  and if they didn't ' do these things on the sly...they probably wished they could of)

Sue...better car travle then "prarie walking" as our ancestors did at one time. My best time in an car was from outside Green River Wyoming into Portland by 11 pm. that night. But it took me several days before my feet unwound from it all. WE stopped there the night before in Wyoming with an police escort and lightening storm ahead of us..he was shielding us from until we could turn off...and I will never forget my son calling his dad, as he was so scared he was next to tears practically....but we couldn't stop until we found an place to stop...and it's wide open territory in that state.

Syd..things aren't like they use to be...when it comes to correcting your kids. So they are getting brassier and bolder as they get to become parents themselves. Fear not ..."X-Factor" comes on TV Sept 12th....school starts also. right now they are pretty bored to tears from an long summer.

Save it Ron...see where it goes... before your blood pressure climbs to high. Might not be worth it all in the long run.

Well, I came home to take an bath and raise my swelling feet up off the floor for an bit....and think I'll go back to ti for an bit. I have the rooms to go through for possibly clothing to take out to the daughter in-law and I'd like to see how it all turned out with their rooms. They have such high ceilings it would be nice to get some of those net storrage bags for the corners of the room...for basketballs, footballs, and baseballs/gloves....but might make an good Christmas Gift also.....they don't have any of the stuff I gave them last year...I guess she threw it all out. She wants beds and drawers and nothing to pick up after them with. Not even extra books to read. I just took out over $100 worth of things...didn't see any of it. Just last year's clothes for the most part and very little of that. Mother Abuse?..or Sarah abuse?...Why can't  my grandkids have something in their rooms... if she's not having to pay for it.?
