There was an real issue over moblie homes over here in the past, basically the people never get to own the ground they sit on..so they can't deduct the property taxes like an regular house for the fact they are making monthly payments, and if they pay the thing off, it ususally is out of date by the time they do also. Same for most automobiles as well. they are not worth what they sell for most the time 10 years down the road. They keep up gasoline prices also, when we need low cost electric cars..if for anything for the enviorment. Everyone have one electric car, and one gasoline ran car, the electric ar for local runs and the other for entertainment in going on trips now and then. Dr. Turi...the professional astrologer I guess they are picking on recently in earthboppin...but he's right, you could tell people the truth, but they dismiss it if it's not in their favor, when it's probably an problem could be resolved it they'd listen..and do something about. So they asked him to explain something he arleady just did in the posting...not listening again. How is Don anyway Ron?...still hanging on? I started these diabetes pills and feel like " hell" this morning I guess you know...hardly slept at all last night for ringing ears and my tooth needs pulled.... they have not gone away today either. Madonna the singer came over for her concert series, she was late coming out on stage by 2 hours or so, everyone booed her twice...I don't know what was the problem....but I see today that she's cancelled her concert over here. I think the "material girl" has fallen out of favor by people, as this is not the first time they have done this...over something she did... or didnt' do. Some of the comments were that people had to pay for babysitters and had to leave after an given amount of time it would of taken for the concert, because it was an work day, they couldn't stay longer....niether could thier babysitters stay longer. She made it out on stage at 10:30 pm. My neighbor decided yesterday to spray her roadside curb area, and so I put out some squirrel food to lure our only little one left to my house, as he's usually over here anyway...he helps to keep the cats here as they keep an eye on him also. He looked so grateful for the food this morning looking at me. Hope it gives him the incentive to start storing them for winter. Our oak trees have hardly any acrons dropping this year so far. He's probably pretty hungry. I also have the bird feeders to do for this winter. One of each kind helps them greatly at times. To those that can't help nature take it's course...they help to make another planet like "mars" is right now...completely devoid of all life. Kiddie pool went down last night also for the season...I guess I go for now. |

In fact Don looks very well, but of course it's what we can't see that makes the difference. We are trying to keep him happy and comfortable, that is all we can do. You are 'spot on' about the mobile home situation! |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 03:31 on 31st August 2012 Many times people pointed out to us when we were younger that we ought to by an inexpensive mobile home, cause the double ones look gorgeous for the price. I only know one person and that was and lady an college professor and her husband, an likewise college professor at Portland State...they bought four mobile homes on special order and put them up in the area of St. Helens, Oregon,Two fo them were one oversized bedroom and an bath, and an huge center room without the kitchen and diningroom...the other two were an huge kitchen, master bathroom oversized and an family room setting....all of them linked togther to make one huge unit. They were getting to retire though...and they bought ground to put it on, an acre. They really did get room for what they paid in this thing and both the "great room" and family room had fireplaces. People don't know it but the same rules apply in Clackamas...house or whatever, you have to own five acres of land to sell the place, you can subdivide it all you want and build houses...and people can buy those houses...and they can sell them also...but you'll have to move the things someday... if your not the original owner of the 5 acres .I checked on this when my brother in-laws parents built there house and two others on their 5 acres...Jack and Lorraine built one and the other one they wanted us to buy out back...and I am so glad I decided not to do it...as Lorraine's parents sold their house to their son, whose wife divorced him and took the house...Lorraine says she don't know what will happened to it...it has currently set there empty now for three years. She let the bank take back their house and it sold...after sitting there empty for one year or better...and moved closer into town near her parents mobil home they bought when Ronnie bought their house. House and property issues are going on all the time here where I live. My kids get an really good rental price on the double size mobile home they have, but its essentially again kind of worthless to buy because they lack land around it to do anything with it. One reason I am trying so hard to hang onto my house right now. Someday it may be the only house they have an option to live in themselves. Plus we have three grandkids to be thinking about. She had "finals" today out at college on her summer courses and gets the next three weeks off...before fall term starts in. Oldest had her shigh school Oreintation last week and the next oldest one had his today..and the third one is still in elementary school. While they were doing that, I finished off the clothing here...so they have an set of bigger PJ's, dressy clothes, and extra shirts and got thier room cleaned up also. Then if for some reason they end up staying here and forgot to pack clothing, I have at least an outfit here. That happened several times last year, in the snow..she brought them in here on her way to school early in the morning and I watched the newscasts to see if they had school that day, if they did, I drove them to school. If they didn't they stayed here for the day. So I have to have full sets of clothes, at least one, from socks, underwear, pants and shirts for them here at least and PJ's of some kind. It starts after this weekend is over. I bought them 3 full sets of clothes, plus they have this summer's clothes, the onesI pick up in an bigger size...and that's it until Christmas..kids don' thave the money to buy them any clothes right now. Every piece of them this year is starting at $30 mostly...rather it be jeans, sheatshirts...or some cases blouses or shirts along with socks and underwear....tha'ts no name brand clothes either...that's discount stuff. I am glad that sissy can wear her mother's clothes an pinch and the boys the same, in the same size pretty much. But your looking at nearly $100 an outift these days per person. Anything less and the store isles are wipped out of clothes to buy right now. Ron, don' t get your dander up to much on this thing you got going with Don...as I was told one time...sometimes it costs less to just leave the area....esp depending on how many people you have to fight for your freedoms. I better get going for now....today has been really an hard one on me starting this medication. Even now my ears are ringing...OK...it's like an roaring noise...like an freight train would make kind of...sometimes not as loud as it was last night...but still there....constant. I go for now. |

Rons answer Shirley....no way! This lout need sorting (residents are afraid of him) and it is for that very reason that they need somebody like me around! I learned today that he is now telling residents on the site that I drove at him! He is obviouly trying to win their support, but we shall see how this develops and how many of those residents are prepared to confirm that he actually made that statement.

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 04:11 on 1st September 2012 Well, people love an good fight I guess..they like to feed them Ron...want to see who can beat up who verbally I guess. One time I hired an lady that was an grilfreind of the maintence man at work, I didn't know that when I hired her...and Dotty and Bud use to like to eat lunch together out in his car...well the nurse's aides liked to peek out the patient's rooms at them... to see if they were doing anything "naughty" until thier supervisors caught them, and then it was an issue. Which natrually involved me also. I said, she does her job with no problem..its on her own time she eats her lunch. Maybe it don't look the best, but I see them doing nothing immoral out there. Our administrator then said to her Director to Nurses...to tell teh Rn's over her workers, to increase their work load doing something...if they have the time to take to watch Dotty and Bud, they must not have enough to do. To tell the aides this also. Someone doing thier assigned work hasn't got the time to check what's going on out the window...let alone be talking about it. That if they saw anything on the slight..to report to the proper channels rather then "talk" about it....then she dismissed the meeting. Eventually they quite of thier own rather then keep any troube going on for the place....but when itcomes right down to it...the "gossips" in the place caused two good workers to leave. It was after that we eliminated no relatives/spouses/imimate freinds on the same shift....working at the same time. So who comes walking through the door...Hi, you remember me...NO...who are you?...Marybeth..your niece. She didn't stay long either but I knew that the workers there when they heard that... would give her an bad time, so its probably better she left. but it goes to show what can happen when other people put thier noses into an argument...as you said...are those residents prepared to confirm that they made that statement of you trying to run down the park owner. If they really hate him...they'd leave by now..so what keeps them there Ron?...maybe the low fee's he charges? Why haven't' they by now formed some kind of neighborhood team to handle problems within the mobile home community also... so they get resolved before they go out of hand. We just took the three grandkids into town for hair cuts and dinner tonight...school starts Tuesday. Kind of getting what absoultely has to be done... taken care of this weekend. I feel an bit better now, ears still ringing but at least I could sleep last night. I have all kinds of questions to ask this lady I'm suppose to have educational classes with, but if I don' thear from her..may have to call back the docotor....things such as..can Lasix be taken with Daibetes medications?...when my feet start swelling up on me. I see there's another "No Alcohol" on each one of the mediations also. Iwish they'd be more specific...beer, wine or just hard liquor that's not allowed....any of them or what? Stomach finally stopped bothering me also. But I don't see myself losing any more as of late for the fact I'm really sticking to the the diet more or less. When I think of how much I walk, and adhere to all the good things your suppose to be doing and all the lazy clouts that don't " give an dam" in this world..I really wonder why I'm doing the suffering at times...but they seem to get away with it all. Then I read also about this CEO that was religiously sticking an heavy cardio-excerise program....minute he got off the airplane he had his route that he jogged at the airport...ate right...saw his doctor, took his medicince...and dropped dead anyway. Reading his case file and all the "good reports" on it and then dropping dead, sure doesn't make people to enthusiastic about the whole thing. Anyway, I better get going got more into the book I was reading..Lady of the Lake (of Avalon). Another historical fiction type book...I think her sister's child she took to raise after others killed her and his father.. turns out to be later on King Authur. so with that will add to have an good weekend, as it's an three day one over here due to "Labor Day"... Tomarrow we paint the front porch. No...not the "Porche" either...remember that joke? |
Ron Brind Posts: 19041 Joined: 26th Oct 2003 Location: England | Posted at 09:25 on 1st September 2012 Shirley he is the one who has further escalated this matter by now making the statements that he has. I respond accordingly, and yes the residents have already confirmed that he has said this otherwise how would I know? Understand also Shirley that he is not the owner, merely an employee of the site owner, who uses 'bully boy' tactics as documented in an attempt to impose his will upon the residents who are nearly all retired elderly persons, with poor health. The ground rents are certainly not low, they do have a residents association, and moving out is probably not an option for most. Besides, why should they be 'run out'? These people own their homes, of which there are a few currently on the market for anything between £85k to £125k - homes that cost a lot less than the asking price just10 years ago.
