I am getting their Cathryn, but...I have just this next week to do most anything before hubby is home and operated on. He was told that morning to take an shower or bath in biololgicall soap before coming in and I have the house to do over from top to bottom in it also...will be doing that this next week...particularly the bathroom. I bought an new tub mat, so he can climb in and wash himself off with the sprayer on the edge of the jaccuzi tub until he can magage to stand freely without the walker. Just n lot of ittle things like that to do next. I got him some snacks to eat downstairs also...and he'll need an fresh fruit bowl and maybe some veggies/dip also. We already ahve an full sized refrigerator down there. Ground level, he can go out back or he can go out front... by way of the garage.

You have an godo weekend also...since your always saying that for us to have an good weekend.

Peggy if you can remember when the problem started my suggestion would be to to go to "system restore" and reset the registry back to a date before the problem manifested itself. My guess, from about 20 years of messing about with computers and having built a few, would be that there is something nasty in the current registry and by restoring to an earlier date it should come right.

Let us know if it works.

I hope all POEsters are well and looking forward to a good weekend. We had 4 thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. i was at a local mall having supper when it stormed the 3rd time and even though the roof is very high the noise of the rain was so loud that we could hardly converse. I guess our local river will be fooded over the bridge again so when I go to town tomorrow it will be the long way round.

Have a good evening all.

Help!!!!!!!

Ron I am trying to upload a new avatar but after about 60 seconds the screen just goes white and it stops. Is there a problem with the picture size I am trying to upload perhaps? It is about 23 Kb.

Perhaps the site is busy? I don't know so what do you suggest?

Hi Syd. Avatars are a long standing proplem with POE. no new ones have loaded since C & S had to to something with the servers , don't ask me the technical bits but all I know is if you have got one sit tight, if not it is the famous mug shot you got now.

Ron will give you more of the picture ( sorry no pun intended ) but I know a number of POESTERS who have deleted an old avatar only to find themselves incognito like yourself. The issue has beenaround for quite a long time now, couple of months at least, hang in there Syd.

2 or 3 months now I have been faceless, tried several times but still no avatar. But as we all know Chris and Sarah have a lot on their plate and i'm sure we all agree keeping the site running, if only for our inane babbling, carries a bit more priority than an avatar or two.......even as entertaining as some of them can be.
