Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 05:05 on 19th October 2012 Someday's I find it hard to beleive what I get involved in without my doing an thing...like tonight...I noticed there wasn't any snacks or food left out for the grandkids...so I went into the Sandy Safeway store...and bought $134 some dollars of food...that was when it somehow changed to about one dollar some less...and the lady there's rewriting my check..I looked at her and I said...you can't change an check on your own...I can...but you can't...so then she asked me to change the amount and inital it..but she had all the intentions of simply rewriting the amount she wanted it to be. This makes check number four this week others have been screwing around with more or less saying. The lady tonight needed "fired" in my estimation...the other gals were just as crooked at the Goodwill store also in ways. They ended up re-ringing my check through another cash register to get the check to run through the machine. So basically the transaction showed up as two purchases on different machines..but one check paid for it. I saw nothing voided out on the machine that would not take the check...which they give back to you anyway once it goes through the machine. There should be no porblem with any check going through the first time properly. I think I should call my bank manager and have him tell me if I've been charged twice at one store and if the other check manage to go through from tonight also. What I don't understand...is why others are doing this to begin with. At any rate....I bought my grandkids yogurt, breakfast fixings, fresh fruit, snacks, donuts, and cake, and veggies to munch on, string cheese, some meat, and salad. LOTS of apples/oranges/bananas..But I think they need this stuff...they eat lunch at 11 to noon daily and then come home and the parents don't make it there for dinner until around 7/8 pm...they need an snack after school...that's almost 8 hours from lunch to when dinner is served to them. They are to thin for " growing" kids. You know how I am...grandma....I'll see to it they have it one way or the other. I generally do this about once an month for them anyway. The safeway store out in Sandy is really expenisve for what it services it's local people with. I can't imagine many people going there that really need an big load of groceries to buy. Food was really picked over also...and this was about 6:30 pm..I can only think that the locals were quite glad to see the Fred Meyers store be built up there. Only thing saves the store is the Friday $5 specials they have...and the fact they carry speciality items you don't find in the bigger mass selling stores. But even they are hurting in order to compete these days. But anyway...my days are busy...because I have to keep up with these kind of people.. and what they are pulling off next. I think it's part of the stress we deal with these days...this kind of an "hassel" to all business transactions done any more. Even the credit cards...many of them unless they are newer cards don't give any so called "Points" as extra purchasing power. I think that is very discriminatory to people that have bigger balances on their cards and are trying to pay them off. Mark my words...someday they get back what they dealt out. This morning they said someplace in Sweden they foiled an bomb explosion on an Federal Reserve bank. Well, only way people can fight back for truth and justice sometimes. Sad as it is to say. I guess I head into bed for the night...staples out of hubby's knee, and his air motion machine went back and they talk tomarrow about his going to his own outpatient therapy next week. Nov. 6th he is finally released from the operation all together. But I think he's doing pretty good as it is right now. She said today that from now on he doesn't even have to use dressings over the knee any more. She said all the rest would dissolve on it's own as time goes on. Good night everyone. |

Or how did they they make it read differently to pick up an extra bit of cash. Crooks. |

You should definitely call your bank, Shirley. I've had this happen to me also, and have found that I've been charged twice.
