One could also reply "sikhona" meaning I am here (alive) or "yebo lungile" - yes alright. I think that they, like the English, have developed a lot of slang alternatives. Anyway, I am fine and hope you and the other POEsters are too. Perhaps we should start a French thread non? Then I could say Salut, Cathy, comment ca va? and you could reply tres bien and when departing say a bien tot.Oui Madame, au revoir et a bien tot. |

Hubby made his first outting today..to go see the grandkids...therapist had him using the cane an bit today also. I hadjust finsished my last round walking when ti started sprinkling and got inside before it started an steady falling. Sister in-law called me up so went over there with some receipes to look at some Weight Watcher books someone had given her. Her son was there and had built them an fire in their new wood stove. Sounds like of good right now...might do that when I get off here. I'm thinking of building an small puzzle perhaps tonight. They go fast ususally. Not to much else to really do right now.. read an book maybe. Washing dishes and just made an chicken/mashed potatoes wiht gravy/pork and beans and tomato slices on green lettace salad and took it down to hubby...who still has to do his air motion machinge tonight for an session I must tell you the news on my grandson....of the entire 6th grade class...he was the only one to get all the Geoaugraphy questions right on their test...we are so proud of him....he's our quietest one also. He was simply beaming when he told us and his mother said the next score was 46 out of the 51 questions. So he did really good. Must go for now..have an good weekend everyone. |
