Richard...Yes SNOW!....I just wrote Leslie an few words and said I was watching Denver, Col. in huge blizzard like snow falling on the Tv set. she lives 7,000 feet above Denver....and for some reason we are both making "chili"...Hey Peggy...Chili Receipe...I give you the basic's and after that you add whatever you want...it's called "Stovetop Chili"...makes 11 cups of about 6 servings each for 275

calories...48 grams of carbs...so do it half that amount if your carb conscious...though most men don't have to worry to much if they

are active...Ok, brown one chopped up med.onion in olive oil and saute until tender...then add 2 Tabelspoons chili powder, one Tablespoon cumin, 1 teaspoon corriander, 2 cloves of garlic, and one green pepper..1 28 oz. can of whole tomatoes...I added an couple more from the garden, and 1/2 pound fresh green beans , trimed and chopped in half, (you could probaly use canned) 3 med sweet potatoes (1-1/2 pounds). peeled and cut into chunks, little bit of salt/pepper, and simmer it for 25 mins...until the sweet potato is tender, then add 2 - 15oz, cans of drained the rinsed black beans. Then serve it with an litte sour cream or add anthing else you want...possibly some ground beef, cooked an drained...let is set an bit for the flavors to blend and adjust the spices if need be. It's good. It's good just like it is without the meat also. All the ingrediants are easy kept ones in the pantry also.

Rick, you know a longtime ago I bought my hubby this huge board game of football....I think of that when you mention the guys bringing over their board games...it's been an popular one over the years. It has no moving parts that you don't move yourself...but then again, you can call the plays better that way. Of course now we have the computer versions. I can remeber back in those old days...when we had to plug in our own computer games by hand...line by line and then "start" them...we had one that took time to write in the program and it was an ski one, with two fingers you made this guy dodge trees coming down an ski path....we'd play that thing for hours...back in the truly "primiative" days of computer gaming.  Now we tend to each play an game of cards on our own computers...Ha!  When my grandkids come over we all have one computer for each kid these days also. But sissy takes the cake so as to say...she turns on her Tv set, plugs into her I-pod...plays an computer game with an freind and talks to another one on the phone.. as she eats her snacks....all at once...usually into the wee hours of the morning. She makes her room.."hers" for the entire night. She also likes "Strawberries".

I better get going, I see I left Leslie without garlic and pepper in this receipe, but was having problems posting over there.

I wanted to see my kids..before hubby goes into the hospital and they stopped by tonight...and the youngest one kept half crying and hugging his grandpa. They should of seen his older sister after her  knee replacement operation and how good she looked. His mom said he was also tired tonight. Hubby's leg motion machine guy came over tonight and gave him lessons in what he would be doing, I find it hard to think he's suppose to sleep with this machine gently keeping his leg moving the entire time. Plus he has one hour an day three or four times using it also. Sounds like next week is going to be an busy one again. I would like tomarrow for us to go somewhere overnight..by ourselves...for some rest and peace... before all this starts early Monday morning. As it is, I can't even go to bed until I make the thing tonight. Washed all my bedding. As far as I know..have done about everything I can think of to try to make things easier on us both this next month...him also.

I am hoping that by the time I need the winter woolies, that I can wear an swuede coat I bought many years ago that' s 3/4 length long and lined inside. It's an dress coat..but I should be close within the range to wear it now as in the past. It looks fantasic with muted wool plaid or plain dress slacks, cable knit sweater... scarfe and hat and mittens. It's an expensive coat... and it has that look to it. I have through the years kept most my nicer clothes...even if I couldn't wear them. If I keep losing by Christmas time I have already an whole bunch of new clothes also that I have kept..esp jeans..price tags still hanging off them.. I'm looking for shoes now. I have some boots.I was eyeing over my grand-daughter's Nike's tongiht...her mother looked at me and said the store is at the Clackamas Mall. Maybe we can go do that when things quiet down an little. Make an nice Christmas gift to myself. Well, that bed won't get made if I'm on the computer...have an good weekend everyone. I'll be looking forward to coming back to the house by myself for an couple of nights...so you can keep me company then I guess....and keep my mind pacified that everything is "A-OK"...normal.  Holidays coming up so there is an lot to do.

Morning/afternoon to all POEsters.

I just went to my Twitter and FB accounts to let you all know that the new site I have been working on for a while http://pestcontrol-supermarket.com/ (PCS) is now open for business.

But you know what? I cannot get used to using FB it just seems so complicated to me so if I have clicked, or not clicked, sent a message to some, but not all then apologies, I guess I will get there in the end.

Anyway Registered Consumers can join PCS for FREE and have access to Pest Control Price Comparisons from our Registered Pest Control Companies throughout England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, who also Register FREE.

We don't ask for sign-up, or upfront fees of any kind and charge Pest Control Companies just 25p per lead that we send to your inbox, for a job that is worth potentially £40 plus, after that it's up to you.

Consumers, you can just browse the PCS site if you wish, maybe learning something about our pests, but please do let me know how you get on.
