The osteoarthritis is painful, but the Dercums is unbelievably debilitatingly painful, and the only partial relief is from a cocktail of drugs that have knock on effects. For example Morphine and Codeine both make your eyes water (lol) know what I mean? So you take a laxative, and that has side effects too (piles) like a b....y bumble bee up your backside! Not funny really, but I bet it's put a smile on a few faces here in the forum tonight! Paracetamol affects different people in different ways, but can also add to the problem, it's a nightmare and sometimes I just don't know where to settle, sit, or lay for relief. I guess we all suffer similar, or equally painful problems, but what do we do...keep taking the tablets! Nevermind, we feel kind of blessed that it's nothing worse, and there are others worse off. Hope you have all finished your tea/dinner.

One of them is Liver problems. There are stool softeners out there...and Metcamcil..for fiber....and an mydrid of things to ease the pain your dealing with...from jacuzzi tubs...whcih toughens up the skin/nerves...to accuptunture to deaden the nerve endings from pain, to heat devices...to sawtooth foam to sit or lie upon that are like the hospital and nursing homes use for patients that are bed ridden. There is also the use of an water bed...and finally suspended devices to take you into the air and not touch anything physically.I prefer myself..... to try anything other then drugs if possible. I was never an Pill taker to much. It looks an bit scary to take, but nothing like what the dentist gave me recently...one of the things it was good for was "Anthrax"...but it said that it was indeed used in some rare types of dentistry...he gave ii to me, incase my tooth should start to going into "blood posioning"...before I got the chance to have it taken out...I kept telling everyone that it was really bad...but they weren't listening....I don' think my hubby even suspected it was as worse as it was...as it was an surgical procedure...not just pulling out an tooth. The drug is most often used for people that have been on pencillin.... and might be not be feeling its full impact in killing off the bacteria. I to was concerned about an possible case of blood posioning in my gums. I did as he said to do also..not to take any of it unless the gums presented me problems and then when Icall for the appointment...to start taking one tablet and day for the week beforehand and get off the low dose asprin as it makes you an "bleeder"...and to get rid of the diabetes or at least have my blood glucose under 200...it's highest should never be over 140...and my blood pressure more normalized. They took my blood pressure that day and I took my blood glucose readings at home...they had my blood pressure reading at 131...and my blood glucose was something like 124. Had to take in my current "Lab test" also...which said I was not diabetic.... for the last three months. My Atc1 readings were normal. My salt was to low by one point and my trigycerides to high..which may of been caused by taking the diabetes tablets I had been put on. But anyway...long day today, I'm tired...I worked on Christmas some more with clothes for the boys, and boots for the grandaughter today..and have boots for the boys yet and then I am done. It will be an relief to get it over...with the toys and all...about some $600 so far for the three of them...plus mom and pop...but it will be paid for totally by the time the New Year arrives. Much of this I saved over the last year, knowing it was coming up. So been paying cash as much as I can. I will talk to you all tomarrow. News is on now, so it's later then I think perhaps. |

Absolutely right Shirley, and it's why I can't join the Grouse Club each evening. I have to be careful. |

Ron, me old mate you talking about piles reminds me of the story of the crusty old RSM lecturing recruits and he was talking about hard wood trees used to make bridges by the RCE when desperate. He said, "other uses for these trees is as piles for piers, an' I don't mean bl--dy 'eemaroids for the haristacracy" Cheers all, I'm off to watch telly. |
