Things are already 50 to 70 per cent off..Iwonder what they are going to do for "Black Friday"...named that because its our nation's largest shopping day, next day after Thanksgiving and the figures for most stores are in the black that day..instead of the red. but fantasic bargains abound then also. Itwas in an newspaper earlier last summer that one of of well known stroes was going to sell 50 inch brand name TV sets for $299...but would be limied to only an few for each of their stores. Tgat wold make hubby an nice present downstairs next year..TV own there is years old now. I went to Kmart and it's raining out and they have sea gulls there and two of them went after each other and you can only guess the mess they made on my car in the process. they dived bombed the hood the side of the car..the roof with birdie doo doo trying to kill each other I think. It kept raining so it was fairly easy to rinse off when I got back home..but I've never seen such an mess made by birds in all my life. Then on top of that...being an intuitive...I ran across an "angel" at one of the stores this morning. The "love" she was ratiating was an bit overwhelming to where I had tears in my eyes. But they ususally come around this time o fthe year for me and sometimes "take me to my knees" in the process also. One year I did't have to much money and had bought my dad something for Christmas and didn't know if it was an very proper gift...so I was saying to myself...under my breath...this is not much, but I hope dad likes it ...feeling rather humble about things...and my God...the "love" that came to me then and it did..it took me to my knees and absoutley took over every fiber of my body. I don't know if dad liked it or not..but I do beleive someone was telling me it would be just fine in an spiritual sense. That they understood I didn't have big bucks..and was apprehensive...as to the gift being suitable enough. I felt like I was shopping with guardian angels an bit this morning anyway. It's nice to have the help somedays also...Thank YOU! Now let the crowds commence and maybe everyone can have an dcent Holiday this year. Kids now all have "boots" and they get snow out where they live when we don't see it here in town sometimes...warm hats, coats, 8 pairs of new jeans..the boys wear the same size...they all got some pajama's also....little goodie bags of choclate and cookies (including Scottish Shorttbread and kind of like "Nutmeg Logs" but an podwered sugared crescent shaped cookie ...with an box of chocolate. to make to warm them up and some hard candies. I still have the Santa clause graham crackers to make...you take one square..frost in white iceing...turn it on an angle toward you and make the top tip an red hat,,swirl down with white icing and add an white miniture marshmellow...then you add red cinnamon candy eyes and a red gumdrop nose...and take the rest of the bottom corner from one side to the other and cut miniture marshmellows in half and make an beard. Kind of anglel up toward the red gum drop nose...on each side...and then let it all "set-up" before serving them. Kids culd make these if you have everything there for them to do it with. I hope hubby helps me on these snowmen canning jars...they are ready to be wired with the lights inside of them now...then I can paint and make their hats and scarves. Take them out for the entry way table centerpeice. Suppose to go and pick up my sister tomarrow for an craft store grand opening gala tomarrow...so best get going...still have presents to do and would like to just sit after some three days of shopping. Have an blessed day everyone. Ron, I've got two medications that say I can't' drink..I decided one year if I skipped the medicine I could have an wee one for the Holdiays...so hubby made it...it tasted really good and by the time it hit my body...I was wondering if I was going to live through the night or not. I could hardly breathe. Scared me bad enough I've never tried since then..but I know that there are times when an "shot" of something eases things an bit...or use to..not any more. I was never an heavy drinker in my life either. I've always limited myself to about two drinks and that' s it. Be it wine, or an cocktail or whatever. I can remember when coming home from putting in an 5 am to 11 pm day of constant work..it felt good to sit down and have an wee sip. Just kind of take the edge off that long long day of everyone's problems to solve for them. But not these days. |
