Film director Blake Edwards aged 88. Probably best remembered for his films of The Pink Panther series and Breakfast At Tiffany's. He is survived by his wife, actress Julie Andrews, now 75.

His other credits include The Great Race, Days of Wine and Roses, and the TV series Peter Gunn.  Several of his popular works here featured the music of Henry Mancini, such as Moon River from Breakfast At Tiffany's.

Robert William Andrew "Bob" Feller (November 3, 1918 – December 15, 2010)

One of the greatest pitchers in baseball and one of the first major league ballplayers to enlist for service in WWII. Played his entire career with the Cleveland Indians.

Debut: July 19, 1936
Retired: September 30, 1956
All 20 years with the Tribe.

Remained active with the Cleveland club until his death. He is from a time when you could look up to your sports heroes with pride. A far cry from the whining crybabies that populate sports today.

My lawyer...Justin C. Tallman....known since 1966...lived in town here......passed on at 87 years old. Also had "Nebraska"  state roots in his younger years. Makes two people I've known in my lifetime now since November...my Doctor was number three last summer. They are hard to replace these days.
