Probably best remembered for his films of The Pink Panther series and Breakfast At Tiffany's. He is survived by his wife, actress Julie Andrews, now 75. His other credits include The Great Race, Days of Wine and Roses, and the TV series Peter Gunn. He is best known for his role as Det. Sgt. Arthur P. Dietrich on "Barney Miller." It was a hit TV cop comedy that ran from 1975 to 1982. His most recent role on the big screen was portraying a pediatrician in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." |

Also had "Nebraska" state roots in his younger years. Makes two people I've known in my lifetime now since November...my Doctor was number three last summer. They are hard to replace these days. |
