On April 19  Elisabeth Sladen, best known for her role as Sarah Jane Smith in the BBC television sci-fi series Dr Who, died at the age of 63. Elisabeth Sladen appeared as Doctor Who assistant Sarah Jane between 1973 and 1976, opposite Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker (the third and fourth Docter). In 2007 she started here one series in the spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures. For me (as Dr Who fan) she was my all time favourite of the more than 30 assistants of Dr Who in the almost 40 years the series is running.

I'm really sorry to read this.  Sarah Jane was the best of the Dr's assistants.  She was quite young too, may she rest in peace.

And maybe our beloved Henry Cooper is pounding the hell out of Bin Laden as they arrive at the Pearly gates together.

I am sorry to hear of Henry Cooper's death. He seemed like an upstanding fellow.

John Walker...Founder of the Walker Brothers has died aged 67.

Without doubt a 60's icon and one who will be remembered for two songs in particular. Those being; The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Any More and Make It Easy On Yourself both of which topped the charts, brilliant songs! A sad and great loss.
