Several people have passed on....one over there...the fella that always played the "Butler" in all the Batman movies through the years...up in his 80's....then Furlin Huskie...older country western singer...song most remembered is "on the wings of an Dove"...was another one also..but can't find the obituary...and as of Thursday 4,439 members of the US miltary have died in Iraq and 1,399 in the Afghan war...according to Assoicated Press...and locally...Mr. Chido...everyone around here knows of Chido's Farms..he was up in years but it makes you wonder if seeing what happened to Japan ..and it was most likley his home as an child...was just to much to endure. Chido Farms grew berries in our area for the local canneries that use to be here when I was growing up. Owned massive amounts of ground around here. My mother's generation.

Just knew someone would comment on this...she went out looking every much the "star" she is...white ermine mink coat an diamonds..even though she was puffed up from bad health...looked every much an "lady" to the end. You know her daughter use to come into the restruant our friends owned and would talk about her..boy were those the old days. Both of them are gone now also...time stops for no one I guess.

Edward Stobart, aged 56 in Coventry. Former trucking owner and son of Eddie Stobart who founded the Eddie Stobart trucking company in 1970. Building up the brand name, their trucks aquired girls names then double names for Eddie Stobart spotters; Corgi model trucks and a host of other Eddie Stobart mechandising. A friend of mine's home is filled with Eddie Stobart truck models.

Here's the Wurzels take on Eddie Stobart trucks.........

I've never heard of Edward Stobart, but may he rest in peace.  I do love the Wurzels though.

Newsweek investor  Sidney Harman dies at 92 years old...his family decided to retain its 50 per cent stake in the company he purchased last year and try to make it succesful once again. He was an philanthropist and pioneer in high-fidelity sound for homes and cars. Until Friday he was still discussing and doing business affairs for Newsweek. It's apparent his 29 year old heir, an student at Columbia Business School, was being primed to help out the business and most likely will do so. He has been with his father on numerous occasions during the sale of the company to his father... in previous business dealings.
