Jet was the original base player with The Shadows and creditted with the bands new name after changing from The Drifters when they'd found out a US band already called The Drifters. Jet teamed up with Tony Meehan and had a 1963 number one hit with Diamonds for 6 weeks, written by Jerry Lordan who'd written the Shadows hits Apache and Wonderful Land. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jMUOkE45js Edited by: Paul Hilton at:18th March 2011 21:35 |
