Posts: 8474 Joined: 15th Aug 2008 Location: USA | Posted at 06:03 on 30th December 2010 Agathe von Trapp, the eldest daughter of the Austrian naval Captain Georg Ritter von Trapp, died December 29, 2010 at the age of 97. She suffered from Congestive Heart Failure where she resided in Towson, Maryland. Just down the road from me! Little did I know that she ran a Kindergarten at the Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in nearby Glyndon, MD. I wonder if she was there when I was baptized at that very church 50 years ago! It was a heart attack, apparently. He was only 47 years old! Ironically, he played the character of Andrew, the Angel of Death on the hugely popular series (at least here in the USA) "Touched by an Angel". |
