If we did, we'd all be skinny as rails now. When I pop in here in the evenings, there's all this food talk making me hungry. lol Shirley, I like the sound of that cauliflower salad.

It's just about perfect as a potato substitute in low carb recipes. I've tried it twice this week; once cut up and cooked with a pot roast, and the second time was last night when I sliced them and baked them in the oven like steak fries. I was thrilled with the out come both times and can't wait to try them mashed in my "mock" shepherds pie. When cooked I found them to be very like potatoes in texture and taste. They do have a delicate taste of celery but I found that they absorb much of the flavor of what ever seasonings I cook them with. Here is how it compares to potatoes: Celery root: 4 net carbs per 1 cup (cooked) Potatoes: 26 net carbs per 1 cup (cooked) |

Water problem again...maybe? Real tired right now also. I put in an good 4 days of work around here and barely made an dent, in ways. I go now and mop the downstairs main bathroom and maybe then I can say one room got an complete over-haul...my huge fish tank went outside. It took both fellas to carry it out the door empty of water. In an way I miss it, and in a way, there's not longer the high expense of of maintaining it. I just lost my main microwave oven also, and had to replace it. Did that yesterday...bought another one. |

Shirley I have to get this off of my chest right now. I am truely sorry and I want everyone to know this. I have held somewhat of a grudge, against you as in this thread a while back you kind of nicely gave me the cold shoulder. I was unaware of hogging the thread and talking so much. well, it was childish of me and I'm sorry, please forgive m, Shirley, I hope we can be friends again.. I would like to pick up my pom-poms if everyone is alright with this. I had some wise words given to me, by a wise man, and I thank him. I weighed last time in here 243.? and I now weight 240.6. I'm getting there slower than I wished, I just must put more effort into it., Cause I haven't. |

Come across a web site called spark people and so far very impressed. All you do is put your statistics in and how much weight you want to lose and the program does the rest. Even though I have only been on it nearly a week, I have never felt hungry but had lots more energy. I have cycled 44 miles so far this week , probably a one off with being keen to see results. Another good thing I like about it is the goals you have for your weight loss is achievable about 2lbs a week. So have a go what have you got to lose only pounds lol. My first weigh in is tomorrow so fingers crossed and i will keep you all informed. It will also give you a exercise plan to follow if you wish to. Hope this has helped anybody struggling to diet. |

Before I realized it, I was seeing what I would eat first.I would probably start with the sausage things?, and then to the tomato, then the eggs and toast. Then I would need advice first on what the rest is, before putting it in my mouth. If we were at a restaurant I would ask you very politely and quietly, What is this? as I pointed at it. If those are saute'd mushrooms, that would be my first thing to eat.mmm, mmm, mmm, yum, yum. I love saute'd mushrooms. What is the stuff near the tomato?? I like the newer avator picture. |

That'll keep you going til lunchtime lol |
