Running almost 15 minutes late so when they tied up two ramps were in operation one for those getting off and one for those getting on on. In and out of Ambleside within 10 minutes. Wateredge 2 Ambleside The Queen of the Lake, also known as the 'walkers boat' arriving at Ambleside. Called the walkers boat as it's prime job is ferrying people across to the western side of Windermere near Wray Castle where you can get off and walk down the shoreline to the car ferry near Far Sawrey and then catch a smaller boat across to Bowness to meet up with one of the larger lake cruisers to return to Ambleside.
