Herdwick lamb Even at just a couple of weeks old this little chap(ess) was not frightened of my approach. But mother was keeping a close eye just in case I got a bit too close for comfort. An Ambleside cat First made friends with this little fella July 2013 and the wife made a fuss of him (maybe a her, we never checked!!) everyday. One day a lady walking passed offered the info that he was a stray and was looked after by the staff at 'The Apple Pie Shop' which no doubt accounts for the smile on his face and his rather rotund build. He was still there when I went back in September and December 2013, and as you can see still as happy and content in May 2014. Wonder if he will still be there next week...let you know!!
