Lily Tarn Lily Tarn situated over the top of Miller Brow on the eastern edges of Loughrigg Fell. It's name is fairly self explanatory. A very pretty little tarn but lives have been lost due to swimming in the tarn and getting tangled in the lily root systems!!! Heron 1 Taking a short stroll from Rothay Park along the River Rothay towards the pierhead and came across this fine specimen sitting on a rock in the river. Sunset over the Langdale Fells From the Wateredge Inn beer garden again, around 9.30pm. Just after taking these there was a mass exodus from the lakeside tables as a massive hatching took place, with thousands of midges suddenly coming in off the lake.
