Red cliffs of Budleigh Can you see the golf players on the green sward on the top of the cliff? Cut a ball wrongly and it could end up in the water below. Trees cling to the steep sides of the cliff and anchor themselves to prevent rocks slipping and falling. Fishing from the pebbled beach is a favourite passtime too. Shielding Budleigh This flat, shield-shaped bug is common throughout England and Wales, but less so in Scotland. It is bright green and stippled with tiny black dots in spring and summer, but changes to greeny-bronze in autumn. Its wing tips are dark brown. Budleigh swimmers Bathers swim the waters of Budleigh Salterton in November. I've heard that the sea is warmer than the air, but I've never been close enough to test.
